But won't it be a bit of a challenge to bring in Leopard/Abram/Challenger tanks when you need to train the soldiers to use them effectively, which could take a while, and establish a new logistics chain because of it.
@bandenere7774 Жыл бұрын
They have been training Ukrainians on these vehicles for at least a month already. The idea is to train them abroad and only send the tanks inside Ukr once the personnel training is over.
@robertwisniewski2029 Жыл бұрын
I think this will be partly solved by placing separate types of tanks in separate brigades - a tank brigade is 90 machines, a mechanized brigade is 30. This is realistic. interesting fact - the battalion training on leo in Poland belongs to the 4th tank brigade

Disclaimer first: No, i'm not German. That out of the way, i do believe that the narrative on German reluctance re: tanks is well out of order. Had it been only German tanks that were sent, well that would have been seen as rather provocative by RU, no? Even if they came from Poland and Spain, they'd still be German tanks. It was smart of Germany to demand that other manufacturers also send their tanks. British and American and French tanks had to be sent, even in small numbers so that it didn't look as if there were only German tanks rolling into Donbas (which is apparently RU now). Germany is a little sensitive about their past and Russia is a little sensitive about German tanks. We should perhaps keep in mind the historical perspective.

Although not as relevant in terms of the direct military war and the gear involved, I can confirm that a lot of Civilian aid has been given by European countries as well. I live in Norway, a week or two ago, my mother was going to buy a new winter coat in a local store because of an announced sale. But when she arrived, she was told that the sale had been cancelled and that all the winter coats had been sent to Ukraine. Thats just a small example. I also know that Norway have sent at least a dousin Fire trucks(I read that months ago, its probably a lot higher now) and its the same with a lot of other European countries (who due to their size have probably sent more than us). The list goes on and on. Whilst its not military aid, its certainly needed down there. Anyway great video series :D Slava Ukraini!

@@EmpireFanatic I always looked at the civilian side of a military conflict as I would look at 2cd or 3rd string on a sports team because the will to fight resonates within the civilian population. And especially in this war farmers dragging apcs with there tractors,old men taking outr columns of tanks and young men attacking troops with drones litterly toys.this war has really blurred the lines of civilian and military stereo types to the point it truefully looks as if you are capable of doing anything you are quietly acknowledged as being a soldier. Well... It's not accurate that Germany didn't allowed other EU countries to deliver Leopards to Ukraine. There wasn't any official request from any nation until Poland ask for permission on the 24.01. Only one day later Germany granted permission and also pledged tanks. So you really can't blame Germany for acting to slow. The "United front" on the panzer question isn't as united as it seams for Germany is now (together with Poland) isolated.
