Appropriately dressed for the summer heat with a straw hat, and you look very pretty, too! ☀️💛🌼🍉 Interesting to see the wooden backsides of those buildings. What a beautiful city!

Astrakhan was a very good choice for a visit at this time of the year. Did you not see any camels? Until the 1940s camels have been used in this area. It is kind of the end of the caravan road from India and China. You could call it caviar capital of Russia, as this is more exclusive than watermelons 😊Not to far away in Turkmenbashi, they have a caviar "black market" where caviar is sold in plastic bags by the kilograms. I've been there and have seen it.
@elenastravels Жыл бұрын
Agree! I didn't see camels actually 🤔I guess just because I was mainly walking in the city :) But that's really interesting, thanks for sharing! Probably! But I thought you can get caviar in some other parts of Russia, too 🙈 Haven't hear of that market though!

Thank you, Elena, for the tour of beautiful and quiet Astrakhan. The picture you painted for me was of a very clean and ordered city with interesting architecture that could probably command an entire video of its own. So many images and snap shots of life there, finally culminating in the luxurious avenue of roses.

Thank you Lenochka for expanding my knowledge of Astrakhan and its beautiful architecture and history! Were all of those Mukhi🪰 buzzing around you because you were close to the Volga River or maybe the Balotui just outside of the city? At least they’re better than Komarui🦟 biting you 😉… you always pick such nice destinations to go to😊.

Amazing video Elena. You have showed houses, buildings that I have appreciated a lot but the cathedral has impressed me a lot with. I have liked the museum and the roses in the public garden that you've showed in the video and the local fruit that seems fresh and tasty. I want to see the second part of the video about Astrakhan that according to my opinion is completely different compared to Venice. We are going to see in the next video. Have a good day Elena.

Hey hey! You’re right - it’s nothing like Venice 😅 There’s just a lot water there, is all 😉 Glad you liked the video!

Eastern-most city of the Babylonian Empire and celebratory city of Ghengis Khan... Astrakhan means "King of the Goddess Astaroth" (King of the Stars). The black wool hats (made from new-born lambs) that the Orthodox wear is called an Astrakhan. "Cain went East into the land of Nod and there he built him a City."

By the Gods, Elushka, you are *SO Beautiful...* ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ This city looks Great, would Love to see more about its History and Architecture - the Cathedral lokks very pretty and special, _however_ when you went into that rundown wood-building I just wish you'd wear a helmet - the thing looked as if it might go down just any minute! Wish you would not have shown the sad and traumatizing pictures of innocent fish murdered. 😢 All in all, a Great vid.❤😍😍

Its sad ,how beautifull crafty architecture died out with WWI -- you see Czarist building with great attention to details ,stukas ,..It was very much similar in Europe ,all nice ,rich ,Novogotic style of late 19th century and start of 20 th ,balconies,beautifull houses ,really patriotic and than after the war ,just nothing ,cheap ,and just modernism .The real reason is with death of monarchy ,no more Czar,Kaiser ,King ....they all were killed 😞 and certain people ( cant talk about them here ) just have a playing field ,not to spend to much ,but made a lot of money from usury ,insurances etc ...yep these central banking cabal people....Of course in case of USSR ,it was brutalism architecture under Stalin ,later 1930 and late 40s trying to copy American skyscrapers ,viz Lomonosov university in Moscow....Best Czarist architecture is probably in Sankt Petersburg ,built on sweat and tears of Ukrainian Kozaks ,what i heard from my friend from Donbass. I love Elenas vides ,such a polite ,educated ,no drama ,iust calm and beautifull 🙂 btw : Watermelons are great 🙂 but I would not share with the guy in the market if my plane leaving tomarow 🙂
