Just before the fall of the USSR 1.6 million people there just to enjoy life. Ending the cold war with a big middle finger to government power. The citizens of each country just wanted to live and let live.

Greetings from Florida!! You have a beautiful smile. Loved your reaction, one thing I wanted to say... We love Russian people!! DONT like the leaders. I'm sure you all feel the same way about us Lol. HOPEFULLY!!!!!! Music knows NO nationality, I don't know why.. But I LOVE watching Russian people reacting to american music!!! Hope it brings us together!!!!!

The headline band for this concert was ACDC. They came on later in the evening. This was a free concert and the local authorities had only estimated about 300,000 would turn up. In the end there were 1.3-1.6 million! Sadly, 700 were crushed and had to be taken to hospital with, even more sadly, 52 dying. They had never experienced this type of concert and just hadn't prepared for it.

Thanks John for the info, I knew how many people were expected/estimated but the rest I didn't know. Tragic re:the deaths 😢 but at least they were all having the time of their lives until that point. Back then as u know there were far worse ways to go. Still very sad. Also shocking 😲that Ac/dc were the headline act? Must check that out ! Cheers mate 👍

As a young lady you may not realize but this is at the collapse of the USSR. Makes it even more iconic. First time in the lives of these 1.6 million people that they've seen anything like this.

Your ancestors were so oppressed! When the Soviet Union collapsed, this is the good stuff that they were exposed to! Get rid of that assclown Putin and rediscover the good stuff! I don’t trust Zalensky either!! 2 ticks on the same dog. I am American and so frustrated with my country trying to imitate the failure of the 80’s USSR!!

We are all human and have free will! The question is our intentions and moral compass. If we truly love people, it will always work!! If not; then the current status quo; there, and in America, what we have to put up with! Rise against crap and take your life back!! In America, we are going to get our assclown leader out of office!!

This concert was insane. I watched Metallica in Seattle in 1989. Two years before this concert. Best concert I had ever been too, but I think this one definitely overtakes it. 1.6 million Russians going crazy. Even the Russian soldiers were going crazy during this concert. This was epic. Joe Rogan podcast brought me back here today.
