Sam, what does it corst owning a car? like fuel, taxes for owning one, MOT regulations, things like that? Paying for parking in citys, and especially prises of cars from Lada To a Mercedes, and maybe even some of those chinese ones. Monthly costs and yearly costs, have my personal interests and if you can drive with a foreign licence or what to do if you want/need to drive in Russia. Is there difference in cars and vans, maybe a small lorry/truck for personal use? Like if i had the money id be driving a krAZ 255 B just for fun but i would be happy with a lada niva 4x4 to explore the woods. Maybe material for a video?

Hi, so road tax is based on horse power. I pay about $600 because I have 500bhp. A Porsche is expensive when it breaks! Parking is cheap. You can drive in Russia on a foreign license up until the stage of permanent residency, then you need to exchange it for a Russian one. If your country is part of the road traffic safety treaty then you can currently simply exchange your license for a Russian one, though currently this rule will close on 1 April 2025. If your country is not in the treaty, you’ll need your take the exams. On a foreign license you cannot do any commercial driving.
