The PE is probably either stainless steel or nickel silver. You are making good progress Johnny. Was fortunate to get to the tank museum at Kubinka outside Moscow, you would love it.

Hey Simon, you're probably right about the PE, it is much harder to cut and sand. The only tank museum I've actually been to was the one in Aberdeen MD when I was there for school, it has long since moved to Fort Moore GA I think. I really need to get out more, lol! 😎 Good work as always sir 👍🎩. Never been a fan of split cannon barrel ,can never get it right. Wooden pegs great tip 💡 ,sadly Alexen sold out in jolly old England 😭😭will keep ones eye out for that ,looked uber good. Seen plenty T34 with horror weld seams 😂😂.

Thanks Steve, this cannon goes together very well, a little fill and sanding but overall, quite good. I was informed by a viewer in Russia that the front of the turret was bolted on, not welded. But I really couldn't tell from the pictures that I found. Weld seams are something that I need to practice. Thanks so much for watching, greatly appreciated my friend. Take care and model on. Uncle Johnny you got to heat that tamiya etch up. After you do that itll be much essier to cut and bend, etc.

@hillbillymodeling no heating up tamiyas etch will allow it to be bent quite easily, I'm working on tamiya s bt7 1937, and the main exhaust screen, the big round one in the back, bent easily after I used a lighter to heat it up. Yes that stuff is crazy tough. But it is possible to bend it. You just need to heat it up for quite along time.

Welding is not used between forward mask and turret. Forward mask join with turret use bolts.
