this guy explains boxing so well. I am happy that someone is recording his knowledge and putting it on youtube.

You Sir are wise and I appreciate your methodology of Russian Boxing. Smooth and deceptive movements, and emphasis on proper footwork. Fantastic and I will definitely add this to exercise regimen.

Russian boxing is very efficient in boing and MMA, too. After studying different styles of boxing for some years, I fell in love with Russian techniques.

Hey coach, Can you make a video on how to fight against distance controllers/ counter punchers like floyd, Stevenson, and Haney? That would be awesome!

awesome suggestion. one of the hardest codes to break in boxing

I counter counter punches by counter punching as well. I wait for them to open themselves as well, but it's not easy. I've fallen multiple times because I walked in their hard straight.

Frolov is not a simply a trainer. He is a technician, scientific & a tactician. His strength is focusing on details: relaxation, footwork, pendulum, angles, body first, feints,. The 250 lb American boxer ignores Frolov's details bec ,"I got the power". What u gonna do when u box a 275 power boxer?. If u do not watch his further videos, then u reject scientific boxing. There is a reason Canelo lost to a Russian boxer. Figure that out.

But why would you ever put your feet in this position?? It's a free body punch, and potentially falling offbalance
@papagrande74482 жыл бұрын
Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez squared themselves up at points in their fights. I’m guessing it’s not something you should often do but anything can work in spots
@29slowjoe2 жыл бұрын
The 2:40 mark. You're supposed to start the sequence in a normal boxers stance. It's a split second thing to set your feet up for the angle . Looks like you want to be squared up for that split second to allow you to slip either direction.
@justinkennedy30042 жыл бұрын
@@29slowjoe the split second nature of these techniques is almost always overlooked by non-pro's. Basically everything technique training videos show only works when you can execute them super fast.

Think of it as a shaper variation of L step, or more like a V step.
@letmegetuhhh39595 ай бұрын
You do it while they’re out of position or throwing high so you minimize the amount of time they can actually punish it. It’s the same concept as guys L stepping or triangle stepping.
