If a fraction of the American media would take 10 minutes out of their day to listen to a single extended interview with Putin, they'd understand his logic and where he "is coming from." He's perfectly reasonable. In fact, he is remarkably reasonable. You can tell very quickly that the man is clearly very intelligent. Very charismatic, yet still pretty somber and reserved as a world leader. If I were Russian (I am American) I would absolutely love this man. He takes no shit. And when you examine his foreign policy positions as well as his actual geopolitical moves, I must admit, he is playing the world game of chess as a master. He can see and think many steps ahead of others, and is very well reasoned and calculated. Trump should have no shame in praising him simply as a strong leader. He most definitely is a strong leader. He views on what he sees as American hostility are hard to dismiss if one thinks from his perspective.

Putin is 'international'. He always reacts as a human being and combines the fact of being a president with the fact of being a citizen of his country ahnd of the world. Excellent. . He never speaks of friends and enemies or of the good and the evil. He speaks of our world as an entity, and that makes him a totally new quality in international political life.
