Tim is wondering what's up with Frank. Pembleton tells him about his wife being pregnant.

Bald, pre-stroke Pembleton and Bayliss were the best thing ever on television. Especially in the Box.

Tim & Frank: True soul brothers. The rooftop confessions on HLOTS were the gold of the series.

Miss this show big-time. I got so involved in the dialogue/conversations between the characters so many times that I sometimes forgot about the cases they were working. Brilliant TV way ahead of its time.

Imo it was the dramatic Barney Miller. Both were cop shows that were more invested in the characters and dialogue than just shootouts, minutia of the law and endless sex and gore. The actors got to ACT on these shows unlike most police shows.

I just pretend season 7 and the movie never happens, and Tim is now the best fucking detective on the Eastern Seaboard, and everytime he puts down a red ball, he goes to Frank's to celebrate and to play with the kids, who call Tim "uncle Timmy" much to Pembleton's dismay!

Well this show was never a rosy show like most. It was dark, gritty and brutally honest and happy endings don't exist on Homicide: Life on the street. It's definitely not for the faint of heart or people who are used to the more unrealistic happy shows.

This show was often imitated, but never duplicated.

They’re really loved each other. You just don’t see that between characters anymore. No one digs that deep

These videos are so great in their own right, that you don't even need the whole show to enjoy them. Superb acting and dialogue.

I remember watching Law & Order side by side with Homicide. Convenient, easy answers compared with real life. What a show.
