Finally have the time and resources to do my 64 step side. You videos have been a life saver as I am now replacing the floor panels, floor support bracket, floor pillars and inner and outer rockers.

We could hang out anytime love your tunes, kept thinking I was gonna hear some no show Jones!

Great looking results! Especially considering that you had to form the floor patch from scratch. This helps demystify a similar repair in my future. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work. I like the fact that just because you might have a big piece of repair panel you only use and cut out what is necessary. Retain as much of the original metal as you can. You've got yourself another subscriber.

I like your methods of doing things. I never considered flattening out pieces and using them for a template. The sequence of doing replacement is very helpful. Get the door right then the rocker. My rockers are rusted out very bad I’ll probably be doing a lot of bracing and replacing before I can get the door right. Thanks for very well produced videos.

This is great, I need to replace the same area in my Wagoneer. Probably the most challenging thing it needs doing but seeing the process gives me hope it's doable. I'll have to document mine when I get to that point.

How did you put the bend in where the channel is, that is a mystery ? I am wondering how you were able to do the 90 degree bend on part of the piece, but you stopped and did the transition to the door channel that goes down at a 45

when your welding in the floor patches do you have to jump around like on a cab corner or can you run some longer beads?
@Gibson63.8 жыл бұрын
I would still jump around with the welds it just keeps the heat down, it really doesn't matter if it warps a little on the floor, but welding it nice slow and easy makes for good practice on the outside panels

does the 69-72 pickup have rocker boxes like a Blazer?
@Gibson63.10 жыл бұрын
Don't know to much about that

you would know if you took off a rocker box, if you did not, then it does not have one. (I wanted to make sure my comment was not taken as being rude.) thanks.
