It's been a year since I've had my RV armor roof put on the camper. This is just a quick update to show you how it's holding up and how I feel about the purchase now. At first I wasn't totally sold on how it was going to weather because the roofing membrane felt a little
soft. But as time went on and the rubber had time to cure, it is now hard. I have had no issues with it at all. I'm very happy with it and it
seems to be very durable. I've only had one spot that I was unsure about. It was around the TV antenna and there were a couple small pin holes
that when you pushed down some water would come out of it. Now remembering that there is a layer of tpo, a layer of epoxy, then at least two layers
of the roofing membrane, I'm pretty certain that this water pocket wasn't getting all the way down to the wood, but RV Armor stated to take out my
roof repair kit and use some of their flashing material around it to fill the holes. This was a very easy process. The kit by the way comes with
every RV armor roof. It's also important to say that this same kit can be used if you need to add an antenna, solar panel, or other object to the
roof. RV Armor knows that these needs arise and you do not have to have a licensed service person there for them. There are detailed instructions
in the kit of what to do. They do say you need to have a tech come out if you want to remove something from the roof however.
There are two questions that I get a lot about the RV armor roof. The first is "Do they cover the slides. The answer to that
is no they do not, because they wouldn't be able to honor the warranty. To be completely honest, I did put a paintable membrane on my slides just after
my RV armor roof. This showed me two things... those guys make it look easy, but it's not easy to put on clean and 2. I painted the entire roof of the
slides then went down over the transition bars on the sides of the slides. There was a large line of silicone under the transition bar which the paintable
membrane did not adhere well to causing it to start peeling. It also started rubbing off on the very front and very back where the seals rest over the
transition bar. I recently went a new route to try to keep water off the slide tops all together and that is by adding slide toppers. Water is an rv's worst
enemy. Everything you can do to prevent water from coming in is a huge win. I have the RV Armor Roof, the slide toppers, and I also had the rig

Great video. Didn’t know they would come to you. I understand it does make the top thicker so I would think that would make it a tad more insulated on top making the camper a tad cooler vs B4.

Thanks for the update. Can you remind me how long your rig is and how much you paid?

My rig is a 29rks. The price at the time was $150 per linear foot I believe. It’s not cheap but it is very high quality. I’ve only ran across one unhappy customer in all of internet land, which I believe says a lot about the company and the one unhappy customer seemed to have a questionable story in my opinion.

What coating did you use on the top of the slide

It was some leftover rv armor material, but it hasn’t held up well in the areas where the slide seals rest over the bars on the ends, which is the reason they don’t do it

@@GimpyCamper there are some after market coatings - I wasn’t sure if you had tried those - it’s good to know that it doesn’t stick

It is per foot with a 24 ft maximum. It’s expensive but generally less expensive than a traditional rv roof. They allow you to add items to the roof such as solar panels with their patch kit.
