Beautiful! I love the carving in that old tree stump. Spring has sprung!

That driftwood has been there for a while and the carving was a surprise. I don't remember it being there before. The weather gurus are telling us it will get into the 70s and 80s next week, yay!

Thank you, I'm hoping to start sharing our trips more often now. It was a long winter and I think I'm finally shaking off the winter blues. Thanks for watching.

Thank you. I've seen beautiful places in a lot of different areas where I've traveled, but the Pacific Northwest suits me best. I love it here. Thanks for watching.

What a beautiful place. The reminds me of Long Lake in Upstate, New York.

I've often thought the Pacific Northwest and the New England states were a lot alike. The main difference is the climate, it's much more temperate here. I've been to New York but didn't spend a lot of time there. I always hope my videos will encourage people to explore their own areas as well as someday come to see mine. Thanks for watching.

Your comment about Long Lake in New York got me curious. I looked online to see where it was and a little more about it. Alder Lake is actually a reservoir with two dams that supply hydroelectric power to the area. It is named after the town that used to exist in the valley that was flooded when the dams were built in 1945 to block the Nisqually River that runs into it. Long Lake is the glacial widening of a river and is twice as large, but I can see what you mean by the look of it. My curiosity is always sending me to the Internet to answer questions that pop into my mind. Thanks.

Nice to see you here. I'm feeling so much stronger, but short trips like this are about all we can do these days. The weather is wonderful now and we love to get out and enjoy it. Hope you and Grant are doing well too.

PNW Granny Thanks, we're doing OK. Grant is actually doing great but I'm having some trouble with my feet and legs - weakness and pain. But you learn to cope with what the universe throws you! I'm glad to hear that you're feeling a little better and it's wonderful to see you both out and about!
@RVGrannyWA5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry you are having to cope with that, but yes it comes and you deal with it. I've had a pretty good lesson in being thankful for what I have this past year and not giving in to the rest. Outings like this one give me a lot of pleasure. Mother Nature is very good medicine.

We live in South Tacoma and I like the slower pace here not to mention it is a lot more budget friendly. When we go on our drives we nearly always head south. Alder Lake and that area are a favorite. Nice seeing you too.

Beautiful shots! Can't wait to visit Washington when we start traveling full-time in 3 years. Looking forward to more of your videos!

Maybe you'll love it as much as we did all those years ago on our first visit. Of course maybe not since our reaction was to go back home and sell our house. A year later we lived in Federal Way, WA. I've been here ever since and still love it. We lived fulltime in RVs for 6 years and now we are living in a travel trailer although it is a stationary one. Traveling was one of the highlights of my life and if not for health restrictions I'd still be doing it. I hope all your dreams will come true for you. Thanks for the comment.

I Went during the shutdown to visit the Copper creek inn as well as Copper creek, always loved their food and glad they got some tourists to stop in to keep them going during the shutdown.

My husband is hooked on Copper Toppers. Every time we're in the area we stop for some. We drove up that way today. We thought we'd drive up to see glacier view, but then we realized we'd be driving in snow so we changed our plan and drove down Skate Creek Road. Video coming soon. Thanks for watching.
