Ross...you're not going to believe this one. We hauled our camping rig from the Midwest to our 'pad of cement in the swamp' in Florida early this month where we'll enjoy it for the winter, flying back and forth for some sun before a return to normal camping. The place is where my folks have a mobile home, so I can fish with my Dad. While we're gone, we let a friend of my Mom's use the rig. She called me this week to say "I am out of propane" -- which made no sense since it was a completely full tank. This all happened this week AFTER I watched your video. Sure as shootin', a valve on the pigtail somehow busted on the trip down, causing our new tank to drop to zero. Shared this video with my 81 year old Dad, and he watched. Clearly made a difference in what he purchased. Again...invaluable what you do for the RV'ing community. You completely rock, man.

Ross question, why does the valve face towards the trailer and not forward so you can see when the feed tank is empty and has switched to a full tank? I mounted mine so it faces the front so I can see it, is there anything wrong with that? Thank you!!
@rickmarchetti36982 ай бұрын
@@sc67jam because it would only make sense and perfect sense to mount the hoses toward the RV and not toward your toe vehicle, you can see in plenty of you the regulator meter as to how much propane you have used or have left .

Reading up on the GaStop safety valves It appears to me the PSI after the regulator (10 - 12) is not high enough to trigger the shut off. If that’s the case the automatic shut off will only be activated if the leak is between the tank and the regulator or am I missing something.

it was the pigtail, where they press those 2 metal connections together. probably just loosened up over the last 8 years from the movement of moving the tanks and cover.
