"The Girl Who Fell Through the World" was a fairy tale named and referenced a couple of times in Volume 8 and is Neo's favorite fairy tale. We're probably looking at the world referenced in that fairy tale, and as this fairy tale was Neo's favorite as a child, that probably explains the visual transition from Neo to (who is presumably the main character of the fairy tale) Alyx.

My theory from the OP between the shots of RWBY changes over time, Jaunes being surrounded by the clock themes and the Knight in rusted armor in Jaunes colour scheme is that perhaps time flows differently in parts of 'wonderland' and he's been there longer than the others, like Loki arriving weeks before Thor in Ragnarok. I think an interesting turn could be, if trur, Jaune taking an antagonistic turn based on feeling forgotten or abandoned

Team RWBY, Neo and Jaune are the ones stuck here. Weiss is not aware Jaune fell since he fell after. I think this will be a bottle season which each character having to face their demons. Also i dont think the Alice girl is Neo cause of the weird implications cause of the color of their skin and Neo choosing to be pale af. I think Alice girl is going to be more of a reflection to Neo cause of the relationship between Alice and the Mad Hatter. Alice girl being on of the people Cinder pushed off But my main theory of whats going to happen when they come back to Remnant is that at the least 2 years have passed since they disappeared.

She has always been my favorite character by design, powers and such, but I was always kind of sad that she didn't have character development. I'm not sure we see too much of Vacuo, someone said Sun will have a short voice line, but that's maybe some dream thing. I guess they will get back to Remnant around the end of this volume, it only has 10 episodes with 18 minutes average length. There are 2 books focusing on CFVY, so I assume they will some bigger role in Vacuo (or just hope)

Jaune also fell. After Winter went through the portal, Cinder took away the Relic and created fires which melted Atlas. This made the Central Location and all the portals disappear. Jaune missed the portal and fell into this place.

Jaune did indeed fall. But nobody else knows it because he fell after everyone else tumbled in. Yang fell first, then Neo, then Ruby and Blake at the same time, then Weiss. Since Weiss and Blake found each other first fall order doesn’t seem to matter, but it does as far as who knows what’s happened.

The full version of the intro song was released on KZbin after midnight 18th of February, I was listening to on repeat for a lot, and grew on me, the first impression wasn't the best for me either.

Considering the Gods labeled Remnant as an experiment, I’m assuming the void connects the other experiment(s) together, which is why it’s impossible for anyone else to go there. Maybe Ambrosious didn’t flat out tell them because it’s forbidden unless you ask Jinn? The Brothers did seemingly create all life, so there’s a possibility.

I think the intro is telling us SO MUCH Like, the way each of the girls is shown in the background, withdrawn and weak, and slowly advances to march forward in the fore ground - EXCEPT Ruby, whose second form is further BACK, and faded, and then her final form is withdrawn, red and turned away? And then when they are following whoever that girl is, the others slowly speed up - and Ruby slowly falls behind. I think Ruby is cracking

I'm kind of curious if this entire volume will be all in Ruby imagination/dream since Ruby kind of fainted/fell asleep right before "Waking up." i'm probably wrong though, but i can see that being a pivotal point for this dream-like story if things turn out that way.

May be spoilers. (All I'm doing is just explaining who the Alice In Wonderland characters are portrayed as in this season, as well as the new girls name. The monster you saw is supposed to be the jabberwock, and the part with the chess pieces is supposed to be the red queen/ queen of hearts, neo is supposed to be the mad hatter, the new girl is alyx (the girl who fell through remnant/ confusing rwby lore) this entire season will be based on alice in wonderland, so if you know the characters from it make sure to look out for the characters they are portrayed as in this new rwby voluime. Also one thing I'd like to point out is that ruby seems to be getting more depressed in the opening, especially in the walking segment, you can see her sort of drifting off from the group.

Aside from Chris calling out Neo as the Mad Hatter (the opening where she's plummeting into oblivion and just settles on beating Ruby until the end had a friend of mine say "the b---- has issues") Juan's background is clock faces, which presumably casts him as the White Rabbit (and therefore who they are chasing throughout the season.) Little is likely the Mouse and not the Dormouse. I'm uncertain if the twitchy beast is most likely the Jabberwocky (I initially pegged it as the Cheshire Cat due to the stripes making its horns look like the signature smile, but you can see a glowing cat elsewhere in the opening.) We see the Red Queen (whom I'm curious if they'll conflate with the Queen of Hearts like most people do), dodos, Caterpillar, and what I'm guessing is the White Knight (and I'm pretty sure about who'll be beneath the helmet.)

In case they are having this misconception, since I forgot about it, but Neo isn't fighting ruby because ruby is enemies with cinder/salem, Neo is fighting Ruby because she blames Ruby for Torchwick's death, and was just using Cinder/Salem for those purposes. Sso imo it makes sense she would want to continue fighting ruby for as long as she could, if she assumed she was going to die from the fall, to kill ruby before the fall could.

My guess is that the girl from the intro is the original girl who fell through the world. Team RWBY won't meet her in person, but will hear a lot about her. Alternatively, Ruby's identity is stolen by this place, and that's who she turns into. I think something similar is happening to Jaune this volume too.

I'm not sure in this world they have aura and semblance, they all got tired very quickly. (Or they just didn't get back their aura, Weiss, Yang, and Ruby broke their aura during the fight, not sure about Blake) Neo has a big disadvantage, she can't talk, so if she changes into someone and doesn't talk she can't sell the illusion for long.
