This guy was a Troy Polamalu type difference maker on the field. Ryan Shazier is the man. And based on the way his recovery is going, whether he plays again or not, which I’m hoping for him too, he is and always an inspiration to me

He was that final piece in that defense....we may have been the ones winning 2 super bowls the past years . We could play 3-4 and be in a nickle basically..or 3-3-5 and be in the dime.(With him becoming a DB basically). I am just glad he is recovering in whatever ways are possible..keep it up Ryan....#SHALIEVE I really would hope to see him on the field still. Took several years to find the 2 or 3 guys that can pick up the immense slack left in the wake of his injury.

I watch this with pain. Because he is a great player. He is also somebodys son, brother, friend. I think about my son. Who wanted to play football on middle school. And i worry all the time thinking he can get hurt. But ecxited because it is something he wants. He sees himself playing in the NFl someday. He is a great QB with only 13 years he can throw a 50 yrd pass . Only his first time ever to play for a team and got backup Qb, WR, safety and punter. Most than any of his friend. But i worry for anyone getting hurt.

He was my favorite player to watch at osu! And when I seen my Steelers picked him it was one of my favorite moments of being a Steelers fan. Loved the way he played. Hard nose smash mouth Steelers football with instincts for the ball that cant be coached. Watching him in the wildcard vs the Bengals and how he single handedly carried our defense to 2 crucial turnovers in clutch moments and secured us a win was flat out astonishing. I remember being at the game where he was injured. On TV, they broke away for commercials for a while and people started texting me to find out what was happening. Even though it was clear he couldn't move his legs, I kept telling everyone he'd probably be fine once his body calmed down and the inflammation reduced. Damn it, I wish I was right. Ryan was on the path to Troy's level of dominance. Hope he finds another direction to dominate!
