The Replacements are one of the most legendary bands to come out of Minneapolis, and they influenced so many indie bands that followed. In this video I'll walk you through the guitar parts in the song "I Will Dare."

Dumb rookie question: what key is it in? Are the lead guitar leads, solo and mandolin in that key or it’s relative minor The opening Stinson looks like G-Major scale to me

GREAT question Dan! It is in G Major-- you are correct. The A7 chord is non diatonic and would be analyzed as a II7 chord. The opening Stinson riff is indeed G Major. The solo is both using G Major (when there is an F#) AND G Lydian (when there is an F natural). I hope this helps-- LMK if you have any other questions!
