This is the perfect lesson, perfectly paced, content entirely correct, does it all in a way so it's easy to remember. doesn't chit chat and go "uh, uh um." He just gets right down to it and shows us how to play the song. Excellent!!

Well well well well done man!! despite being a great classic, still, it’s a tune that fits within the realm of punk, and for an intermediate player like me, right on in terms of adequate instruction time, and a beautiful spirit essential in making it feel worth the while… Solid bro, solid!

Dumb rookie question: what key is it in? Are the lead guitar leads, solo and mandolin in that key or it’s relative minor The opening Stinson looks like G-Major scale to me
@SecretChordOfficial Жыл бұрын
GREAT question Dan! It is in G Major-- you are correct. The A7 chord is non diatonic and would be analyzed as a II7 chord. The opening Stinson riff is indeed G Major. The solo is both using G Major (when there is an F#) AND G Lydian (when there is an F natural). I hope this helps-- LMK if you have any other questions!

From what I understand, Peter Buck did not do the lead, he did the mandolin at the quiet part
@michaeldegeorge5081 Жыл бұрын
@@poochthedog8079 Incorrect. Bob couldn't figure out a solo for the song, so Paul asked Buck to do it. This is stated in Trouble Boys, p. 135.
