Glad to hear that even chefs have challenges with shopping and preparing daily meals. I would like to see a video on knife cutting. I would also like to see more of your recipes, like the recipe for the paella dish. I liked how the oven was used to finish cooking the rice. I going to try that.

I just assumed you would be cooking these impressive meals at home, but I guess it’s like any job. I’m on a computer at work for 10 hours a day so the last thing I want to do when I finish work is open up a computer, even to play video games. Would love to see you cooking and making meals in future videos. Jasper is the awesome! Thanks for the video Ryan.

Oatmilk and coconut milk are awesome! Although coconut especially doesn't froth and, as an Italian, it's a bit painful to deal with an unfrothed cappuccino 😄

I always wondered what do chiefs cook at home. That was a nice video. I like the length of it. It made me feel a little bit better about the pumpkin that I bought, and let die in my fridge because I couldn't decide how to cook it.

I envy people who menu plan and shop with a regimented list. I do try, however end up going off script. LOL but then again, what use is a mind if you can't change it... really enjoyed this.

I do enjoy non dairy milks, specially oat milk for lattes and coffee in general, but real milk does taste different at least for me. If I forget to ask for non dairy milk on my starbucks order I will notice immediately.

I mean at university deciding what to make for dinner was super easy.... because it was either cereal or that one pasta dish. so now that I know how to cook other things, having trouble deciding what to cook is a nice problem to have.

Absolutely nothing wrong buying what I as a trained cook/chef call short cuts and he's absolutely right, my wife and kids are super picky, so I get the added skill challenge of what can I make and what are we having this week...I tend to buy two days worth, as I've said before I have a nerve disease so there is nothing that breaks my heart in the kitchen more than getting ingredients and I have a flare up and I'm unable to cook for 3 or more days and it goes to waste, that's money lost and if fresh that's something that lived or grew for me to have and what a sad disgrace if it goes into the garbage, so I buy only two days worth at a time. And although I can absolutely cook anything either from scratch, by memory, following a recipe or just experiment mode, lol, I absolutely have and see nothing wrong with flat out cheating or faking it lol, saves on steps, or less to wash less work. But absolutely there is 1 to 2 sometimes 3 nights a week if my body allows me, I'll go balls out to the max full Michelin Stars on a dinner. And sometimes I want to make a chocolate cake, can I do it completely from scratch, sure, have I ? Yes, do I always, hell no lol. Some times it's a beautiful roasted chicken, with real mashed potatoes and chicken gravy, with pan roasted brussel sprouts with a real maple syrup and char, or a spiral ham or I'll do lobster thermidor and then bam lol grilled cheese sandwiches and can tomato soup. I'll make the grilled cheese sandwich but skip homemade tomato soup and do a can, lol sometimes I'll do the cheese with a real nice smoked chedder or lol Velveeta, why not. Some nights or weeks I can't cook and so we order in or go out. But absolutely no one who has a chef as a partner or spouse eats 5 stars for every meal all the time. We also have what I like to call and I've heard other chefs call it this but, a Secret Sin. Like instant mashed potatoes. Lol I do like those but of course it's not as good as real made. And I do know we chefs can doctor up short cuts and cheats. Like If I make stove top stuffing with us a secret sin of mine, instead of water, I'll use Chicken Broth. And I don't make it like the instructions say to I make it in a quick I know what I'm doing so I'll not ruin it method lol. We definitely know how to doctor up things. I do like to look at pictures of food or taste something and then try to recreate it as a sort of hobby. We absolutely will try to improve upon another chef's recipe. Oh God the worst thing I could imagine is having a spouse or partner who is also a chef....what a nightmare except for big family holiday feedings like thanksgiving or Christmas or new Year's or Easter and so on, as food will get done in a timely fashion lol but the arguments and constant criticism of each other's food. I don't think it would go well. Maybe if one was a savory cook and the other a baker and pastry to confectionist. One makes dinner while the other makes dessert. But when I went to school I took every class I could on gourmet culinary arts be it cooking savory to cooking sweets candies, cakes and breads to all things French lol. Okay well I've talked long enough thanks for reading and I absolutely agree! ❤️ 👍

A recipe would be nice; particularly if you talk about the “why” behind the recipe or the ingredients or the method. I liked in this video that you talked about why you chose those mushrooms (not necessarily for taste, but for ease of prep) - sometimes I see a recipe and think “why does Marcella Hazan want me to chop this mirepoix so finely?!”

Dude, there's a world of difference of taste between oat milk and dairy. To me at least, oat milk is like a two note chord on the guitar. And full fat milk is like a ten note chord with an orchestra. So much more flavor, that silky scrumptiousness of the fat molecule dancing on your tongue. I don't even like Light or even skim dairy. It's like milk but with all of it's "joie de vivre" sucked out of it.
