Hey everyone, here’s a tip that I found that I use everyday. If bees are chasing you, run in between the street lamp and post board at resident services. This slows the bees down and gives you time to pull out your net. Good luck!

If you shake the tree with your net out and make sure you're standing in front of it, you'll automatically turn towards the bees and can spam A to catch them. Since I learned that, I've never been stung!

There’s actually a better solution carry some party poppers on you and pop them at the bees the bees get scared and disappear! This method has worked well for me! :)

Also, you can ask 3 villagers to move in and whenever you build the 3 plots of land for Tom, those will be the ones who move in instead of complete random ones!

For the ladder Tom will give it to you when you start making the stuff for the open plots. He will ask you to make a flower wreath for one of the houses and so he gives you the ladder diy to get up there to get them

I'm new to animal crossing and didn't know that you could say no to a villager coming to your island. So every villager on my island was the first one I found but I love them anyway lol.

Invite them now and when you build the 3 new plots they'll be set to move in and the plots will be sold to them! Super useful, takes the stress out of villager hunting so I suggest you start now

fyi the first few villagers you invite get stuck with starter interiors! so it'd be best to invite villagers you'd WANT to kick later (so you wont get too attached hopefully T_T) to ensure everyone has their actual interiors :)

I think either Blathers or Tom Nook give the ladder recipe. I forget which. Also, when do you have open plots, the ones you invite will be the first ones to move in, instead of the random ones Tom brings it. Since they're part of your first five, they won't have their real houses anyway, so I wouldn't stress too much about them not being your Forever Villagers.

When you invite a villager that early in the game, they will move in as soon as you open your first plot of land.

From my experience, you can pick out 3 villagers on mystery islands BEFORE you build the 3 plots. Once you build the plots those villagers will show up. Also, the personalities of the villagers will be normal, peppy and lazy. If you build the plots first, you won't find villagers on the mystery islands and the villagers will be randomly picked by Nook. Also, great video! Really enjoying all the new stuff from the beginning that I kind of forgot about. Glad I can experience it all over again through your vids!

Jock and uchi are already 2 default personalities, so I am not sure about personalities of other 3. I invited Audie (peppy) from my second mystery island and I got a normal and a lazy villager 'from Tom'.

@@MochaAsian oh yes, I read some other comments and people were saying it IS normal, peppy and lazy. I didn't know we were even limited to this 3 when I just started. And I wish I read your comment before I started playing too😩 I got Ava and Hornsby from Tom, nothing too extreme (Ava is my favourite villager and is still on my island after 4 months), but I wish the process with those 3 plots/villagers was better explained somewhere in the game🥴

Those gonna be the 3 Villagers that move in the houses you do the DIYs for. BUT remember that they won't have their own house interior. So it isn't really worth it to look for your dreamies yet (at least if you want them to have their special furniture).

Actually a new island is a good way to limit and get certain villagers if they are Normal, Peppy, or Lazy. The mystery islands will only have these personality types until you get one of each or you complete the first three plots and random 3 of those personality type move-in. If you leave the plots unfinished, the game will stay in the same state and will just show you those three personality types on mystery islands until you invite one of each and/or finish the plots. The instant a plot is finished with all the furniture, the invited villager or a random villager of that personality type will move in. If you fill the normal and peppy spots, you will only get lazy villagers. I was really hoping for Lucky, but unfortunately, I was not getting very lucky (ha ha ha... ugh...) and was getting every single lazy villager except for Lucky. I ended up going with Stitches. But you can manipulate the villagers you see by this method. Is limited to those personality types though because of the mechanics of the "tutorial" portion of the game.

in the beginning of the game you can basically go to a mystery island and see villagers for your first 3 plots that nook makes you make all the furniture for. but i recommend not making it a dreamie because they won’t have their actual interior if that matters to you :)

How the villager works is that you can invite them anytime you want, but they won't come until you have an open plot for them. This only works for the first three villagers you invite.

Here's how the original nook miles ticket system works You can invite villagers to the island as soon as you unlock the nook miles ticket. They will move into your island on you when you build the first three plots. The only villagers you will find are lazy, peppy and normal.

You can invite villagers 3, 4, and 5 (always lazy, normal, and peppy) from mystery islands up until the moment you submit the 6 furniture items to their plots. You can place the plots, but not "fulfill" them, to hunt at your desired pace but prevent someone random moving in the next morning. Because you can only get these 3 personality types, it's the perfect opportunity to embrace your odds and find exactly who you'd like! Only downside is that they have the starter houses :(

If you island hop before the first three extra villagers have moved in, I think they'll always be a normal, peppy, and lazy villager. I know this because in my playthrough before I knew how to invite villagers to my island, I got a normal, peppy, and lazy villager, and then I never saw any after those three until I had open plots. Want to guess who my lazy was? Bob. I could've had Bob on my island, but nah, I just left him there. I almost cried when I found out how that worked. And then I got Rodeo instead. I now hate Rodeo. I recently got stitches though, so I will be letting Rodeo move out if/when he asks.

I restarted my island recently and had forgotten how much fun it was to face the challenge of getting the stuff for the shop. I guess I got extra lucky on iron nuggets from my rocks; one of my rocks gave me 7 nuggets and one stone. I didn't have to visit any mystery islands for resources. I now have the Able Sisters, so I'm back into the grind of making friends with Sable. Also, I totally want to get a second switch to start a second island in the Southern Hemisphere. My bf has his island set in the Southern, but it's sometimes hard to find the time for us to travel to each other's island for stuff...sigh. And how did you manage to find and acquire a Switch in this day and age? LOL
