K-12 is laborer training. Making sure the masses are barely smart enough but not critically thinking. Wake up early for 6:30am factory job start times and if you do a bit of extra learning you can start at 8am. School 5 days a week to be ok with working 5 days of 7 days. For parents it’s day care that lets out too soon and starts too late. In the early years of parenting when you have less money, you need to be financially ruined by not being able to afford a home to let prices rise some before you can buy with a 30 year mortgage to work for the debt. Yep, can't tell you how much my parents (mom still in education, dad former special educator), my sister (just started teaching), and myself (a paraeducator) have spent of our own money on school supplies. When I was very little, office stores would have way better deals for back-to-school season, like folders and boxes of crayons for only a penny each, but they'd have a limit of about 10 per person. So my mom would fill up two separate carts and give me cash and we'd go in line separately to get double the amout, because she just couldn't afford full price supplies for a whole classroom of 30, but she worked in a poor area and half those kids were guarenteed to not have the money for basic school supplies. And how can you learn without the absolute basics, like paper and pencils? Also, 30 kids all under 1 teacher is a horrible ratio. No way all the kids can get the educational, emotional, and behavioral attention they need to thrive. I work in a classroom for kids with special needs. We have 8 kids in the class and 3-4 adults (including myself) teaching, planning, and assisting them. They learn so much better with the extra adult support

@ruin167I mean. Not really. It's because of the harvest for the countryside kids and only much later did it come to also benefit city kids who needed to touch some grass sometimes (whether rich or poor). Taxman: Well now I've taken it twice. And I'm gonna take some of what's left when you still have the expensive things you spent it on. Guy: Wait, now you're taking it *three* times? Taxman: Also I'm trying to get this law passed that'll let me take a big chunk of what's left once you're dead. Y'know, before your kids get it. Guy: Um... (Seriously, how did we get into a situation where we get taxed at the point of earning, spending, *and* owning things (land taxes)? At least car taxes makes sense (specifically maintaining a thing you're probably breaking down when you use your car).) (Also, from what I hear, the guys writing up the laws for our country tried to get a tax cap of 10% in the laws, but were voted down on two counts: Firstly, that if they actually put a number in the laws, the people in charge of it would likely go as close as they could to that number, and secondly, because c'mon, if taxes ever got *near* to 10%, people would riot!)

@@21700r Dolphins brains are superior to human brains, being larger with similar neural density. So to say that humans were ever on par with Dolphins would be very generous. Then again, humans are genetically more closely related to Dolphins than other primates. Granted, the chromosomes are in a different Arrangement and the chromosome count is different, but when you set that aside it implies some kind of aquatic ape oh, except that it couldn't have happened since dolphins evolved along a completely different line. Still, there are similarities that humans have with dolphins that humans do not have with Apes. For example, human babies and dolphin babies are able to swim at Birth whereas all other primates have babies that are born afraid of the water. Humans and dolphins are able to sweat in warm water whereas all other primates lack this ability. Humans and dolphins have the exact same shape spinal column and no other primate has this shaped spine. Humans and dolphins also share nearly identical brain structures with the obvious exception of the lobes involved in echolocation.

Ugh, in college I hated that so much whenever I searched for a job in the Classifieds section in the newspaper. What a catch-22. -_-

@@adi4305 You need to know someone in the company or lie on your resume. Those are really the only two ways.

@@The_Real_Frisbee hmmm, I asked my family, they said that colleges has these "internships" that are unpaid, but you get experience. Isn't that a route too? And shouldn't that make it easier? -The future lowkey scary my dud-

It is probably true for lota of teachers, but as a teacher from Canada it is pretty not that bad sorta here. I mean our current governent in Ontario sorta hates teachers but our pay isnt the worst and my school pays for my paper and pencils and markers etc.

"Don't worry, kiddo you're probably gonna make some friends!" "I mean, I already have friends I'm not going to abandon them based on a 'probably'." "Oh, yeah your friends are gonna be there too!" "Oh, really?" "Whoops, I forgot to mention that depends on where they live because this is gonna be, y'know, a nationwide thing." The teacher: "whoopsie" "You mean I'm going to be all alone with no friends?" "If the utterly unclear social standards of prepubescent peer groups finds you unworthy of their clan, then yes."
