Just seeded my back yard 10 days ago with Ryan Knorr Elite Rygrass from bare soil. It is insane how much it has come up since then. Most areas are already at 2 inches. It actually looks like I have a full blown yard again. (Still not ready to be mowed or walked on just yet) I am super impressed and pleased with it. If you are considering getting some, do it.

We are trying to figure out our weed situation before we use the seed we bought from ya. We pulled up all the weeds in an area, dethatched and planted some of the grass we already had as a test. The weeds seem to take over with lightning speed. It is wildly frustrating. Got some creeping stuff that seems to grow underground and sprout up in places. It is so prolific that it even grew over the manhole cover beside our lawn like it was nothing. But I figure if I'm gonna waste product it'll be the less expensive stuff hah.

I think you will have good success with your raking the seed into the soil and rolling it. So much easier and cheaper than the peat moss method. Less of it will wash away if it rains also. Later in the season you seed the less chance of big storms and pouring rains also. I see people seed too early and get the big washout. Even Pete (GCI) does it. He seeds too early and ends up seeding 2 or 3 times because of washouts. You would think he would know better.
