Have a 3.5 Eco boost F150 now that in stock form blows the door off wrx's due to the terrible oem tune Subaru lets leave from factory for emissions but its a work truck not a race truck. I'm currently saving up to buy a 2020 GT350 before there are no more new ones on the market though so life works out in funny ways

Careful with chasing numbers on a stock block.. these FA's are reliable up until you start getting higher hp on the stock rods etc. I track my car and push it to it's limits and haven't had issues because I kept the power around 320-330

I've had my 2019 wrx since march of this year. Im finally getting a remark muffler delete (Nice Cheap sound) and Will be going full turbo back exhaust in the future. Excited to hear a little more noise out of my wrx. I would definitely love to get to the 400whp mark and have some real fun. I really like these videos and your attitude in them.

im on my second transmission , was tuned at 390 on e85 . also put a rod through my engine block . engine is being rebuilt now with forged internals . you will go through a transmission if you abuse it like i did . i was pretty rough with it though .

That fuel pump is going to fail. I went through 2 of them in roughly 3-4 months. So I put a radium dual fuel pump drop in with two aem 340lph pumps. Also if I had to pay that much for a tune each time I've done it I'd be over 4k in just tunes. Things I did that required it though. Bet the car is fun to drive

I know it is kinda irrelevant because the cars are kinda different in some way but my 17 sti out the door was about $13k and I made 405whp. I’m also on pump gas as well. On E85 my car would more than likely make well over 450whp but I am still on stock block so wanted to keep it in the safe zone

but remember your STI costs 12k more than a WRX then add the 13k just to make the same HP my 19 WRX is at 290whp and my friend has a stage 1 sti, I keep up with him all day long and he paid 39k i paid 27k I'm about 3000 in and hes about 1500 in mods so diff of about 13,000$ yes he has a bigger motor but at the end of the day if talking HP numbers cant compare really. your STI is bad ass but dont believe for sec that just because you have a sti that it will smoke a wrx you might get surprised it's been moded properly

Cams, in CT the winter air is good enough density wise. A lot of shops here said cams would help without doing fuel but thts also on a conservative tune with moderate to regular boost pressure

E85 is what works best for the FA20. However knowing your situation i would go stage 2. Stage 2 consist of a j pipe and if you want, an intake. Then I’d also get a tmic along with charge pipe. Then get an e-tune, either 91 or 93 if you have it. With that set up you can expect anywhere from 280-320 whp which is all you need.

Out of all the pony cars, and according to professional racer such like Randy Pobst, the Alpha platform Camaro handles SO GOOD, and steering feel is GREAT, and the whole platform is the lightest in the class. Camaro SS 1LE (somewhat up-spec from the LT1): 455 ft-lb and 455 hp (stock, underrated and official figures are higher) in a 3700 pound car isn't "boat". 0-60 in 4.1 sec, quarter in 12.4 sec, cornering at 1.05 g (equal to the Corvette Stingray), 70-0 in 141 feet. Also suspension is magnetorheological dampers.

Get a big burly V8 that just chugs along at low RPM, has plenty of poke at any throttle input, is very under-stressed, and you achieve nearly as much as a boosted 2.0L in efficiency while having mounds and stacks more potential above it, for comparable money (stock SS vs. modded WRX). Different machines, yes. Different drivetrains yes. But aside from that, easy power from a V8 without the complexity of a turbo, and solid torque at relaxed RPM.

I agree with you 100%, and unfortunately the current pain we are feeling at the gas pump is probably necessary to push miles per gallon and emissions on the marketplace and it may actually be cheaper to go electric in spite of the larger carbon footprint electric cars cause, Subaru at least ought to run a limited edition internal combustion STI WRX and run it side by side of their electric car developments. Instantaneous torque on an individual wheel from an electric motor is a pretty good thing when you're driving it just has to be developed and the storage capacity for the energy required has to be developed and made much lighter

I’d recommend the process west top mount. The khannacooler is just as good as the verticooler and only 600 bucks. My manifold temps don’t go over 10 degrees above ambient, and they go right down to ambient when you get on it. Very nice product

HappeninG you sound dumb. With a good driver this is a low 12, high 11s car. You can get a wrx for 20 with relatively low mileage. A STI starts at like 30 lol. 6k is cheap af for what the car can do.

If I can make $350 out of my 20/20 STI that'll be great. That'll be just enough it's already enough to embarrass all the VA crowd I'll just leave it at that and I'm one of those. I used to also ride crotch rockets my last bike was a 929 RR. Although not quite as quick as 0 to 60 my 20/20 STIs pretty damn fast it reminds me a lot of my crotch rocket with the benefit of having seat belts padding and airbags around me at 160 mph

@Abrahm Ward built block, full bolt ons, fuel upgrades, equal length headers, steamspeed 69 turbo, perrin tmic, tgv deletes. Those are the main things. And its tuned for 103 octane makes 22 lbs boost

Honestly $11k isn’t bad. Think about it a stock Sti is 10k more. For the value I’d take the wrx. If money wasn’t an issue of course an Sti. I’m currently 18 and have a 2017 wrx

I have one on my car. I've had absolutely no issues with it at all. It sounds great and can hold a lot of boost. I would get boost leaks a lot on the stock BPV on a stock tune, but once going and getting the Boomba BPV, it's worked phenomenally. Highly recommend it

$6k to double your power isn't bad, it cost so much more than that for me to double my Mustangs hp
