No problem. I tried the 400s but it wouldn’t work in our setup because it rounds the frame rate. If that doesn’t matter to you it seems like a solid unit.

Oh wow, after watching probably a dozen videos on the the Hollyland Mars series, I didn't realize they can't do 29.97. As a fellow TVS HD user, that makes them a non-starter.

have you ever experienced issues with the battery plate on the transmitter dropping power? we have been using the ace 500 since November 2020 but had a ton power issues with the transmitter and were never able to figure out why until recently when I took the battery plate apart and checked it with a multimeter and was able to pinpoint the issue was from the plate. This was after returning the plate and buying another one as well purchasing new batteries thinking the issue was due to cheap batteries. The issue was the contacts on the plate would lose their connection to the battery. Since I addressed by adjusting the position of the contacts we have been running issue free battery wise. the only other issue we have from time to time is the connection dropping out. one way we addressed this was to put the receiver up to about 8ft and that appears to have fixed that issue. I just bought the vaxis to try out since the price is so cheap, we will see how that goes but I also tried the hollyland mars 400s and had ton of drop out issues so we returned those. in a perfect or non budget world I would love to go with the vaxis storm 2000 or 3000 but we are not at that level yet.

Hey! I haven’t had any of those battery plate issues. That’s interesting. Ya the vaxis high end stuff looks good but our ace 500 outperforms our vaxis atom in real world situations. Hope it works ok in your setting. 👍🏻

Thank you for your video. Our church is looking for a wireless video system as well. We are considering Hollyland 400s/ 400s pro and this Teradek Ace 500. For this Teradek Ace 500, besides the battery plate, do we need to purchase the battery separately as well? Thank you.

Honestly we own and use both each week. If you need 4k go with spark 4K. If you need a really long battery life go ace 500.

You’d have to buy multiple units and go into a unit like the ATEM mini.

Only if you want them both to be battery powered. We only power the transmitter via battery and the receiver is plugged in with the power supply
