I was reluctant to give up my gas trimmer, but it is so much easier with this battery trimmer

@@ShopRamblings I currently have an echo 58v string trimmer that I've been using for about 4-5 years. It. Works great but it's heavy, the 58v/4amp battery alone probably weighs as much if not more than the Ryobi. For my property it's complete overkill and I have a lot of Ryobi tools and batteries from 2/4/6 and 9 amp batteries so it's time to downsize the echo and move to something more comfortable and lighter weight 👍

Thanks for the informative video. I’ll be picking one of these up soon to replace my 13 year old Ryobi 2 stroke. I wanted something nice and light and wasn’t really keen on moving to the 40v system due to already having plenty of 18v batteries. I don’t like the “whisper” series as all the weight is at the head of the machine making it very unbalanced in both the 18v & 40v. The “expand it” series is perfectly balanced and much less fatiguing to use.

Using gas powered all my life I have been hesitant going to battery powered. I have swapped over for about a year now and have no regrets.

Great video. I have a question about the second attachment you used. Was it a Ryobi attachment or a different brand. It was yellow. I ask because I’m considering one of this trimmers and would like to use some Craftsman attachments. Thanks you

It was a Ryobi expand-it attachment from an old Ryobi gas powered weedeater.
