I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

James Garville it has nothing to do with the Ryobi, the Amazon foam cannon has an adjustable nozzle to change the spray pattern. You were cleaning your car and the driveway at the same time lol. Narrow the fan by turning the nozzle. It looks like you could turn the soap up as well with the knob on the top, it looks like you have the soap closed too much.

no matter how cheap or expensive your cannon or lance cost its all depend on your orifice in cannon or lance is the smaller the orifice is the thickers your form will be plus you wont need as much as 100ml you will save loads

Both are good choices for the money. I’ve brought the 100$ foam cannons before and couldn’t tell the difference from the cheap ones. The rubber gasket will wear out pretty quickly in all of them which will cause aggravating leaks. So far I’m liking the Roybi one because it seems to be built a lil better than the amazon ones. Decent foam too..

Not too many people know that the blue nozzle on the Ryobi can be twisted so you can get a better foam spray. You had it on it's narrow spray and that's why it was runny. I know your video is old but i just wanted you and viewers to know. Again, twist the blue nozzle on the Ryobi and you will see a Big Difference. .

the MATCC foam cannon has a 1.25mm orifice which requires a pressure washer with 1.8GPM minimum constant pressure. You can change out the orifice to 1.1mm to get it closer to the 1.3GPM that most Ryobi / Portland pressure washers have.

Hey man for some real whip cream foam, get a 1.1mm orifice off Amazon. It decreases the water run through so you get more foam. Then for your 350z you don’t need the full liter of water. You were using 100ml of soap and 900ml of water, that water just dilutes it way down. The more water the more soap. For your 350z all you meed is 150ml of soap and just 450ml of water that will cover it no problem. Then your foam will be super thick and lift the dirt off much better.

The RYOBI Foam Blaster is a well built foam blaster is a great tool for car detailing in addition to home cleaning chores. I have a dedicated Foam Cannon from Griot's Garage called the BOSS FOAM CANNON which is by far the best foam cannon on the market today, however, the Ryobi Foam Blaster is still a really good foam delivery system, although you won't get the shaving cream super thick foam you get with car detailing foam cannons. What I really like about the Ryobi Foam Blaster is it's a small foamer compared to others, which I actually like. It feels better in the hand and while you are using it to deliver the foam "blast" wherever you are directing it. Secondly, I like that you just pour your chemical directly into the lexan cup underneath. You DO NOT need to dilute the chemical first as it is diluted as it is drawn with the water pressure up through the straw and then blasted out of the device onto whatever you are cleaning. I actually prefer that over diluting a chemical like you do in most foam cannons sold today and then you fill the remainder of the way up with water. I have found after using regular foam cannons for many years that a lot of the time with regular foam cannons you have product left over in the bottle hooked to the foam cannon. You pretty much wasted product at that point as you are most likely either going to use the remainder of your product on your vehicle in just to expel the entire amount out of your cannon, or just simply pour out the excess down the drain or onto the front yard! With pouring what you need directly into the lexan cup of the Ryobi, when I am done, if I have any product left, I can simply pour it back into the chemical's original bottle to save for the next time. The blaster itself has a nice strong stream hence the word "blaster". You can't adjust the flow rate, but you can twist the head to move the stream pattern either horizontal or vertical depending on how you want your pattern. It is not going to give you the thick shaving cream like foam that you see with some foam cannons. It's not that type of foam cannon. But what it does give you is a long throw of the water and in a tighter stream making it great for not only car cleaning, but for cleaning the side of your house, barn, outbuilding, whatever. It allows me to shoot the stream of the chemical inside up to the second floor of my house without having to get a ladder. That function alone makes it better than the normal foam cannons you use for car detailing. It works well to blast chemical onto your fences too. It's a great little device to have on hand if you have a pressure washer at home. For your home cleaning needs, sidewalks, the siding on your house, wooden fences and decks, etc. it's a great foamer for that purpose and I highly recommend it for that reason. The only downside to this cannon is the PRICE! It's just too much money for what Ryobi is charging for this thing. I don't know what those execs at Ryobi were thinking, but this cannon should be about $15 to $20 maximum. There are far better foam cannons on the market now days that are a far better value too! The Griot's Garage BOSS Foam cannon is my personal favorite, but the MJJC Version 3 foam cannon is a favorite of detailers worldwide. I'm not sure Ryobi is still selling these anymore but if they are, go ahead and grab one because, again, they are very useful for spraying chemicals onto whatever you are cleaning. And as long as you rinse it out after every use, you should get many years of use out of this foam blaster as the quality of the build of the unit itself is very good. It's very stoutly built and the thickness of the cup underneath is thicker than most other foam cannons on the market. It's a very thick lexan type of plastic that I personally really like. I wish other foam cannons were built this good. Even for car detailing, I like this foam blaster at certain times when I just want put some of my Wash Chems Pro-1000 Touchless wash chemical into the cup and foam my who vehicle quickly. Then if I have any Wash Chems soap leftover, you can pour it back into the original chemical bottle and I haven't wasted any by diluting it and then pouring the diluted solution into a foam cannon.

Idk if it was mentioned but the Amazon Foam Canon sees a decent pressure washer, most of the small electric units do not supply enough GPM flow. The thing to do is replace the inner nozzle with a 1.1. They are like 4-8 dollars.

Idk is it that the Ryobi was “runnier” because you didn’t fill to the recommended line? That would cause it to be more watered down when you filled it with water. The consistency of the soap won’t matter because it’s actively mixing it with water. They probably have different mixing rates within the holder. Also you filled the amazon canon with more than what was required, and the Ryobi with less I think your test is not a fair assessment. Too many variables, make one where you follow the instructions of each so that the mix rate is at the manufactured guidelines but with the same soap that will be a fair assessment.

I have a ceramic coated car and also bought the ryobi foam cannon. In the video you had it wide open which is supposed to be used to reach far away surfaces like 2nd story windows. Bit of an unfair comparison without rotating the blue nozzle. That said, the ryobi cannon doesn't produce enough foam (so the Amazon cannon still would have won this race). I bought the Chemical Guys cannon and it works much better, tons more foam even on my ceramic coating.

I also bought the smaller orifice for it, search out foam cannon hack on KZbin, but honestly it worked well right out of the box.

No we had trouble with it in the beginning too. Play with the front nozzle on the foam cannon. You almost have to set it somewhere in the middle to get the wide fan if i remember correctly.

Amazon pump is better for washing car and cheaper but it gave more quality foam.. No professional car detailer ever like using ryobi cannon on car.. the amazon is just same like the $90 more expensive product such as from adams which is configurable and can be tune the orifice size to suit your pressure washer output.. ryobi can't tune anything and it's not serviceable, once it clog or leak, you just throw it away.. each internal parts on amazon foam bottle is replaceable and widely available.. For household washing where the foam is not really important maybe ryobi will work best, but for car washing the foam is so important, the more thicker it is the more it help on drive off the dirt.

Amazon one has small neck. After a few uses, it broke from the neck. Dry your car with leaf blower (electric preferred) and no spots!

Biggest issue with dawn is it strips all wax off. If you WANT to strip the wax off to decontaminate the paint to clay bar your ride dawn is fine.
