Preheat oven to 350. 1 cup cooked rice 1/2 cup nutritional yeast 1/4 cup oats 2 cans white beans, rinsed (ounces not specified) 1/4 cup salsa 1/2 tsp tumeric 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder you may add other things if you like, this is the base. smash ingredients together leaving as much texture as you'd like. form into patties and bake until done. Approximately 20-30 minutes, but this will vary based on size and thickness of your burgers.

I just love watching you two cook. I've been sad with my new diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure and then excited and hopeful to find Dr. Esselstyn's eating formula to reverse it, and then sad again because this food journey is so lonely. Thank you so much for cheering me up.

I'm a 70 yr. old long time Vegan, but it wasn't until I took Dr. Esselstyn's advice advice one yr. ago and quit salt, oil, and sugar that my life change so much. In ten wks. I lost 17 pounds, my Arthritis, and quit three blood pressure meds., and a Statin. These burgers are great. I use the fire house pasta instead of salsa, and I put in Kale, Spinach, , carrots, and white/green onion. I love these burgers as does my wife.

I just tried these burgers! They are oh so delicious! My 3 yo grand daughter and I made them while you made them. We had a blast. She loved swishing the beans! We are 30 day old plant-based eaters. Thank you! I just love how you and your mom interact in your kitchen! You're so down to earth and natural - Jane not having buns, and Ann recommending the E2 buns! So, natural, just like in our homes, sometimes we don't have something and we use something else. I love it! Keep the great recipes and conversations coming!

@@debbimorgon2988 actually, it is. If you use whole wheat and/or rice flour it's fine. I know you're following Dr. Greger's way on eating. But why limit yourself? You won't catch any diseases or cancer. Making your own homemade warm whole wheat buns or bread isn't going to put you in a poor state. You're not going to die. You're not going to lack fibre or protein. These lovely ladies, Anne's husband and family all eat 100% whole wheat flour. So do I.

These are easy and come out crispy as advertised. They do taste exactly like what's in them so there is no miracle there. I might make these for a family dinner or guests but I can simply throw stuff on a sandwich like I usually do without the prep or cooking. Unless you are a big eater, I do advise making them smaller as I added fire roasted tomatoes, basil and spinach leaves, broccoli sprouts, couple of grapes on whole wheat with hummus and pear slices on the side and was soooooooooooo full. Thank you ladies for the great videos you give us....you are wonderful!

You two ladies make my day! Your enthusiasm is infectious and the love you have for each other is wonderful to see. I bought your cook book and it should arrive today...can’t wait to get into it. My Engine 2 arrived Saturday 😉 so I’m having a ball trying lots of new recipes. Looking forward to your next video 👍🏼💕

Another great recipe. You know I love the mom. Most people her age have problems opening jars, but that salsa jar lid didn't stand a chance she ripped it off like a hulk hogan vest. lol. Awesome job ladies.
