Kozhukkatta is a popular South Indian dumpling made from roasted rice flour with a sweet filling. The filling the is prepared with grated Coconut and Jaggery. It can be served as an evening snack or breakfast dish. Anyone with basic cooking skill can make this dish at home and also it requires only limited number of ingredients. 🍲 SERVES: 12 Pieces
🧺 INGREDIENTS
Crushed Jaggery (ശർക്കര പൊടിച്ചത്) - 1¼ Cup (200 gm)
Water (വെള്ളം) - ¼ + 2½ Cup
Grated Coconut (തേങ്ങ ചിരണ്ടിയത്) - 2 Cups
Cumin Seeds (ചെറിയ ജീരകം) - ½ Teaspoon
Cardamom (ഏലക്ക) - 6 Nos
Roasted Rice Flour (വറുത്ത അരിപ്പൊടി) - 2½ Cup (350 gm)
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - ½ Teaspoon
Ghee (നെയ്യ്) - ½ Tablespoon
Coconut Oil (വെളിച്ചെണ്ണ) - ½ Tablespoon (Optional)

Thank you sir ...the dough was very soft and the filling came out delicious ( it can be consumed like that too). The kozhikotta was soft when consumed hot...but became a little hard once cold...is it because of excess steaming or sides being thick? Pls guide
