As a 26 year old white guy from England, I can’t believe how much of your story I can relate to. After years of struggling with my identity I finally began “coming out” to my friends a fortnight ago. I already feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I’m more positive about the future. Your videos have really helped me during this very confusing time. Thanks for sharing your experiences.👍

Literally had this conversation and realization with myself yesterday. Being tired of worrying what others may think and trying to conform to situations to fit an idea of who I am instead of just showing up in my truth and letting that speak for itself. It gets to the point where it draining me to keep hiding a part of myself that Ik isn’t wrong or immoral. Your words felt comforting in knowing I’m not alone in what I have been feeling. Ik I have my own journey to go on but just hearing there is light on the other side makes me feel at ease. Thank you

I cried a bit watching this whole thing, because I understand the sentiment you experienced when you finally get to the place where, the man I see in the mirror, is created and birthed by the will of God to love and be loved, not to live in trauma, regret, pretention, and governed by unconscious bias. Thanks kindly for sharing! 😁

I love the topic of this video because this shows an example of what PRIDE means to so many. If you’re someone who lived with all the negative thoughts and feelings from being LGBTQ+ and you get to a place of your full truth and happiness, you can’t help but be PRIDEFUL! Feels so good once you get to that place of love.

The transformation of seeing your three year's ago clips and the present ones - phenomenal!!! The other beginning clips and the current ones I see you have always given your true self. After a really rough day, I wached this video because I have enjoyed all of the previous ones. But I appreciated this one more than any other because it really reminded me of my own life journey. You do an amazing job. Please continue this channel. It helps me. I wish I knew somebody like you when I was in younger. It might have made it easier for me to navigate the craziness that I dealt with. Thanks

To me this was not a "before coming out" narration but a journey of finding the self and contextualising it within your own individuality. As for me being a trans women and living a stealth life, I'm yet to emerge from own closets if you may.Yes, the comfort that comes with not having your gender policed and having to go unnoticed is riveting in many ways and it has allowed me to accomplish goals otherwise not afforded to trans folks. However, I think that it has had great detriment to my mental health. Absolutely enjoying your content and looking forward to engaging with it on an ongoing basis.

This video was so incredibly good. Man I just love your videos and how well spoken you are. And I do understand completely cause for me yes I wasn’t the most attractive guy until after high school. After high school I had my glow up I guess lol I don’t think of my self as the most sexiest man alive, but I do get hit on by both men and women. And I really didn’t start living my truth until I joined the army cause since I was in high school I’ve lived with my grandma, who is a pastor and she is a die hard Christian. And I knew if I would have came out to her when I was in high school then I would have been met with condemnation. I was already going through stuff in my life from my dad not being there for me and my mom on drugs. My grandma isn’t like that tho, but her beliefs is still her beliefs and she wasn’t gonna approve of it. I’ve had the occasional hookups, met dudes in random places, had a friends with benefits, and was in a relationship with a DL guy. After that I felt like I was living a lie and I got tired of hiding who I was and not being able to be myself. So in 2020 while the world was in chaos I began to evaluate my life and said to myself I can’t do this no more. I’m tired of hiding and I wanted to do something constructive with my life. So I decided to join the army and thought to myself that now that I’ll be far away from my family and I can come out to them there. I still haven’t had the courage to do so. Even when I was at home tho I wasn’t completely in the closet cause I was out to people on social media and close friends. But when I was in basic training I made a decision that if someone was to ask me am I gay I’m gonna say yes. And from that point in I feel confident in myself but my family and others still don’t know that I’m gay. What’s some advice that you can give me obio. And anyone else is welcomed to jump in. And I’m stationed in Germany btw. My first duty station 👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

I think you should coucellling advice on how to build confidence and strength to face your grandma and others. Do it for your own peace of mind because we worry a lot about other people's feelings at the expense of our own happiness. It won't be easy coming out to grandma, but she'll learn to accept you eventually. Now, put on your camouflage drawers and tell grandma what time it is soldier. From a 55 year old celibate South African who hasn't come out to nobody - go figure 🤔

I feel that your sexuality is your business. The only other people that will know it is the ones you’re loving (sex) with. It’s no such thing as “coming out” in my opinion. Live your life my brothers and sisters 🌈. I do understand what you’re discussing fully.

Hey Obio, I’m very grateful for your content. It had been a minute since you popped up on my yt, i was wondering if i can personally contact you because I’d really use your advice. I recent came out to my family and my mom is kinda depressed about it, and my father is feeding me shame and I really don’t know how to help them both and help myself get through this period. Kindly text me back, I’d really appreciate it!

As I always say, a relationship solidifies your appearance to the world which is why so many gay men will compartmentalize their life so as to avoid being in a gay relationship so they will be not seen as "abnormal"
