Great video. I bought a nice 2004 (Challenger Brown Metallic/Titanium) about a month and a half ago. It’s a real joy to ride, all day on the highway or for trips to the grocery store. When the start and reverse buttons got sticky, after a good shot of DeoxIT, they were just fine. A beautifully engineered, extremely nimble bike, with power and torque to spare. Respect the beast and you will have countless happy miles. ✌🏻

I just bought the same bike , same color , same price , few more farkles , absolutely flawless . What a deal . If you had to buy all the extras , 5000 or more . Two Rivco luggage or cooler carriers mount into trailer hitch with cooler , passenger armrests . Wow .

Just sold my 2009 Yamaha FJR1300 and bought me a 2009 Goldwing. I couldn’t ride the FJR for more than 100 kilometres without back pains. Just done our first tour and comfortably did 500 kilometres per day without any pains.

I have a 2004 Arctic White GW, and it's in pert near showroom condition at just under 20 years old. It handles like a dream, but I'm getting the suspension fully upgraded next spring at Traxxion Dynamics. Max and company will be doing the full monty for me! I'm anxious for that so that I can enjoy this Wing as it was meant to be enjoyed. It's too bad the Japanese engineers didn't do a very good job with the factory suspension on these machines, but even with the factory suspension, it's still a machine second to none. Your bike is nice, but it could look spectacular if you detailed it. It's filthy. I realize that doesn't affect how it runs, but a clean bike is a pretty bike in my humble estimation!! Ride well!!

Capable of a million according to Honda, and of course they are. Most riders won't do that much, but number of miles is never important except in your journey. Nice Bike.

Great Video! I just picked up a Gen 5 2003 Goldwing! The one thing I do not like about my Goldwing is the driver's backrest. I will definitely be ordering a Kuryakyn Backrest! I didn't even know they had that until I saw your video! Jeff, Thank You so much for making the video. I really appreciate it!

Just picked up identical bike/color. Only 9500 miles. Buttons, buttons, buttons. Even the dealership said it is a very common problem. You set everything up once and never use it again. Bluetooth helmets are the stereo work around.

Great bike! You really couldn't have done better for $4K. I bought a '14 Audio Comfort Nav/XM model with 1,000 miles in '15. While the speakers are rather inept, I simply play music and GPS via Bluetooth from my phone into a Sena. Weather protection is amazing. With the exception of a hard rain, I remain dry while my buddies riding HD touring bikes get off with soaked pants. The heated grips & saddle also work great and permit me to ride year round. Still, I wish I had ABS though, but hey...it was priced way below market value and too good to pass up. Goldwings are truly comfortable bikes and I'm happy riding 500 mile days on the stock saddle with an upgraded Utopia backrest. Other mods I did included changing all lights to LEDs. Overall, they're quite impressive bikes and very fast with tons of torque. Maintain them and they'll outlive their owners.

Watching your channel and the experience you had in purchasing a GW and a number of others convinced me to not buy a new Harley (#7) but to keep the one I have (Electra Glide) and look for a GL1800. I found an 08 with 26k miles (Comfort / NAV /Audio) in pristine condition. Mine also came with an extra set of new tires, a Garmin Zumo GPS and a number of other bling style items that I can live with or without. I didn't get it for the smokin deal you did, but I am happy not laying out 25+k for a new bike (Harley or Honda) and picking up this bad boy. I paid 10k for mine, but had a budget of 30k so I feel I did well too. 20k to be used for something else.

I have a 2004 that I've had since 2012, with 123,000 miles. I can't think of any reason to buy another kind or even a newer wing because mines still rides so well. This is my third wing and all of them went for well over 100k miles.

Love the blue color. You stole that bike! I bought my 2008 with 55k last year for 6000 and I thought that was good. Mine had a few scratches, bad steering bearings, burned out headlight, dead battery, leaking fork seals and needed tires/full tuneup plus fluids. Hoping to put 200k on it and then buy the DCT for the same price 👍😀

Thanks for the video and that is a really pretty older Goldwing. I am on my third one a 2012 Airbag model. A little tip, clean the switches with some WD40 and then clean that out with some electronic cleaner to get rid of the 40. I do this once a year and will never have trouble with the buttons. On now some tips, the two top buttons you showed for the radio and cb was where you change from the headset to the outside speakers. The opening ceremonies can be programmed to say your name or anything when you turn the key and power up. My 2012 has 77K miles on it. I sold my last one at 157K miles. I subscribed to your channel and I invite you to visit my channel. Thanks and be safe out there.

IMO, the GL1800 is the best bike ever built. I have logged over 400k on 5 different Wings. And many more on Harleys and other bikes. About the only thing that I don't particularly care for about the Wing is many of the riders are pricks. And the forums are the worst of any forums concerning censoring and people just being smug, holier than thou, aholes.
