I’m so in for the intake testing. That’s one thing I miss the most about the forums is the diy test and tune and the component dyno shootouts. On every daily I’ve ever had, the two things I make sure I do is see if there are ways to make a more free flowing intake and exhaust without sacrificing drivability. Mostly on Hondas but I recently built a scoop very similar to yours on my 2011 Silverado 😂 No data but I just feel like it HAS to be letting in cooler air!

I agree. I’d like to do more testing and get more detailed but unfortunately I can’t get paid for the massive amount time involved. Not to mention I can only do so many ‘ errands’ lol Hopefully we can this channel to 100k and it will start paying for that kind of content. I love geek out to testing and learning while sharing it.

@LHTPerformance Definitely. Fun fact, I saw once a similar cold air induction kit from a European S2000 owner, this kit was just for a short period back then available. If I find the pictures again, I will forward them to you for reference and improvement. I can't say how much I love and enjoy your work.

If you want a bettter test hook up a shop vac to the air box and draw a vacuum, then spray. This will simulate an engine better.

I had an GM oem Z06 titanium exhaust on my base convertible C5 Corvette I owned, and it was one of the nicest bolt-on parts I've ever put on a car (in my opinion). Titanium is the perfect material for an exhaust application in both looks and function. However, you are creating your own pieces. You are a true artist John.

I literally have had this hydrolocking chat with so many people. Everyone is so scared of it, the only way I’ve seen it actually happen is if you fully submerge the filter itself. The amount of water that went into your air box, if it ever did make its way to the filter, it would have evaporated before it even gets close to the cylinders.
@LHTPerformance10 ай бұрын
This is true. As an experiment, try getting a straw and put a hole in the side. It takes alot of effort to draw fluid up the straw. I wouldn’t run into standing water with anything. 1” looks very much a lake. lol. I’ll be doing testing next monster rain storm we get and film it.
