I felt you about being overwhelmed in a social setting. That sense of urgency to be social plagues us so bad, esp introverts. There's nothing wrong with taking a step back to recharge your battery in a social setting and ppl have to recognize that instead of criticizing our presence there. Like let mejust exist.

4:29 (I felt that) I have not experienced this, personally, but I can understand it. As a younger version of myself, I made a conscious decision to always be "out" so I don't know what it means to lose people because of it. However, I can see those who weren't out whose relationships with people, whom they love, change.

It's amazing how there are TWO closets: One concerning sexuality in general and one concerning sexual positioning and its implications on masculinity. That's why the first thing I look for in a man even beyond looks is, is he ok with his sexuality this includes sexual positioning? That will set the tone. In a sense, being feminine and people assuming you are a bottom has its major obstacles but one major obstacle that I don't have to deal with is awkwardness being assumed something that I am not or having to "come out" as a bottom if I am "masc-presenting". I thought I could escape this in the so-called "gay lifestyle", but wherever men abide, freedom will not. I like freedom and true sex positivity. I find this sorely lacking even in the so-called "black gay community". A lot of people are still not genuine due to stigma. But to my previous point, it is easier for me to say because abuse has built character because you have to affirm your sexuality at an early age due to it being weaponized against you because of what people assume you are. I'll never forget Elisabeth Ovesen stated her MOTHER has been calling her a whore since she was a child. She was raped at 13, so she has been having sex imposed on her since before she could start having sex. People read her for sucking dick, but now everyone want to proclaim their cocsucking skills lol. Point is, being masculine presenting does not neccessarily make life easier. Being closeted for the greater portion of your life will stunt you in a lot of areas that deal with sex and relationships because you have mentally locked yourself up from doing any internal work. The abuse, strangely enough, builds amazing character kzbin.info/www/bejne/qISxZGBvm8SdbtE at 14:20 Elisabeth talks about life that is similar to a gay man growing up.
@teegee78012 жыл бұрын
I'd like to add, I dont think some men are intentionally closeted but just as I had sexuality imposed on me as a point of degradation, sexuality is imposed on masculine gay men because people will assume you are straight. The question is, in what situations do you indulge in the illusion and when do you clear the air. It's all a matter of safety. Black gay/bi/SGL men are not safe.

Thanks for sharing a little bit more about yourself. I personally love feeling like you are more human, sometimes with people who are influencers it feels like they are just that and they aren’t human but getting to know more about them makes them more real and down to earth. Keep creating space man!!

Love your content B. I love the it’s just not adding up series and would absolutely love to see more black trans women sharing their experience and perspectives. Since they are the foundation of every lgbt movement it would be nice that you use your platform to uplift them and share their voices 🫶🏻 and that goes also for other bipoc/caucasian trans fems.
