This is an honest respectful gorgeous tribute to David Bowie. Follows the tone and path he laid and does not try to show offnbut still makes it her own. Humble honest exquisite. Bowie would love it.

So glad you reacted to this - really enjoyed it. Also glad to see you back - hope you are feeling much better. Please react to more Aurora - she is truly a unique artist in so many ways. Singer/songwriter, musician, dancer, producer and absolutely lovely human being (and she's only 25 years old!). She does not only perform sitting at a keyboard - she usually performs with her band, sometimes with just one other instrument backing her, sometimes with full orchestra and choir or just acapella with her backing vocalists - and she is very very animated and expressive. She will often perform the same song very differently and so it is worth watching different versions of her songs. She does amazing covers, but her original songs are wonderful - lyrically and musically. Also, her videos are mini-masterpieces as well. Here is short list of original songs: Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXfddquLg5aBbqs It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, (you already heard the live at The Current version): kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aQf2mCpt-Xf68 Churchyard - Live on KEXP Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020 Exist For Love - Music video, Daydreamer - Music video She also does some awesome covers: Life on Mars - David Bowie - which you just heard - there are 2 other versions, one at Nidarosdomen and one on the Howard Stern Show. Believer - Imagine Dragons God is a Woman - Ariana Grande Across the Universe - John Lennon Teardrop - Massive Attack Rasputin - Boney M - You won't believe what she did with this!!

As in several previous reactions you did I had to realize - and admit - that I'm running short of words once the eyes start watering. Now back in reality I might add few very personal thoughts: There are many artists in your takes who are able to take me in a somewhat magical world. Often listen several times to really get into it. And what I find is that honest and authentic extra-layer of musical magic which comes from your thoughtful - even gentle - way of reacting. The original song is also one of my favorites. To me its like Aurora not just copied a famous song but 'adopted' it like a beloved child, caressing it with her unique voice + playing (yes, Fender Rhodes). My guess is David would have liked this interpretation. Thanks so much for taking the suggestion and once again doing it in this so special way that makes us love you and keeps the channel growing. Sorry, could have said all this much shorter: its wonderful and magic being connected through music. All the best for your health !!!

This cover is so good. Love it. And these emotions and her expressions... For me Aurora is a real artist and she "lives by music". Sabina - I agree with virtually everything you said here about Aurora. Her performances should be viewed holistically with honesty being just one component of the whole. She is part fjord fairy sprinkling magic dust around and part feral forest creature. And speaking of cognitive dissonance, she somehow stirs a variety of emotions in me that appear to be contradictory - sadness and joy, for example, in one song. All her covers are special - please consider doing Famous Blue Raincoat (Leonard Cohen) - her performance is spectacular and I think you will find the lyrics a challenge. Hope you will soon be fully recovered. Cheers.

Hallo Sabina, thank you for your reaction. Yes Aurora is special. Her movements with the arm to express her emotions. Not in this song. But very expressive in "Murder song, 5 4 3 2 1" at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Yes, Nobel Peace Price - Murder song --> you see? An then her angelic voice in "Through the eyes of a child" live in Nidarosdomen. In the biggest cathedral of Norway (I think) - the acoustics is phenomenal. And her very important song for these times "The seed". It's her Earth Song. The song "Why did you have to go?" - she wrote it for the funeral of a good schoolfriend that died on an car accident. And she sang it only on the funeral. So my informations. She wasn't going to release this. The mother of the girl uploaded it to YT to share it. She was 18. It's very very emotional. She wrote also a fantastic love song "Exist for love". You see - there are many sides of Aurora you have to see to hear and to enjoy. Get well soon, have a good time and greatings from Germany

Sabina, she has her moments but I will take Bowie anytime. To be honest, she is a whole lot different than the current talent on the airwaves, but to me she was not on pitch some of the time. Reminds me of working with major depressives off their medication. That stare. I'm sure she has a following today but will it last in the out years? I was a fan of Janis Joplin in her heyday who pushed the limits and had many detractors. Each to their own. Best to you and get well. BTW I gave it a thumbs up because you work hard and explore all genres.
