Not only my own but others around me are safer because I was becoming s time home ready to explode from the years of constant pain and people around me not getting it and thinking I was over exaggerating it because I am young and look younger people think I shouldn’t be in that type of pain. Great video! Love you guys. My SI joint problem stems from a car wreck in 1983. Paralyzed on my left side completely for several months before it started coming back. I have permanent foot drop and a lot of muscle imbalance which I know is a primary cause of the SI joint pain. The stretches are great! Thank you!

I only recently learned about the SI joint from my pain management doctor. I thought all my lower back pain was being caused by bulging disks in my lumbar region, which clearly showed up on an MRI. This causes chronic pain that is _only_ relieved by opiates. The first time I injured my back was almost 50 years ago, after breaking concrete with a 90 pound jackhammer for several hours. I felt fine until I got home and lay down, and then muscle spasms apparently threw that SI joint out of alignment. I couldn't even sit up to get out of bed. The pain subsided gradually over three days. The only thing that showed up on an MRI at that point was the damaged disks, so I thought that was the source of *all* the problems. For decades, I lived with the lumbar pain, which would occasionally also include more intense pain just to the left of the spine. I never understood that was something else, but it felt like it was a slipped joint of some sort. Only now, after all those years, do I realize the original injury that completely immobilized me was not the lumbar vertebrae, it was that SI joint. Today, sometimes when I get out of bed and take the first few steps, I can feel that joint trying to slip out. I'm able to keep it in check by tensing up momentarily to help stabilize it. I know that if it does manage to slip, I'm going to be in agony for about three days. Your video has helped me to understand what was actually going on. I'm convinced that inflammation from the chronic lumbar pain sometimes causes muscle spasms, which are what try to yank that joint out of alignment. Thanks for explaining this so clearly!

I can't believe the timing of this video! Right now I have pain in the sacroiliac area for which I have seen a physiotherapist. I have suffered with pain that radiates from my lower back, down into my hip, across my thigh into the inner part, all the way to my ankle. The technique of laying flat and allowing the leg to hang off the bed was a life saver! Chronic pain disrupts our quality of life in a number of ways. To be able to walk without struggling to balance and minimal pain in the inner thigh is a Godsend! Thank you helping to improve myself and many others physical and psychological well-being!

Okay, so I had to come back to offer my sincere appreciation for this gem of a video presentation. I have been suffering from SI pain since 2015 I assume from my sedentary lifestyle. I used to shift my weight to one side causing the pain to manifest on my right side. Recent x-rays show inflammation in that area and now I finally know what my pain actually is. Seeking for relief I stumbled upon this video and tried the exercises and wow, I am just completely elated. I started feeling better immediately. Thank you, thank you, thank you. These three exercises are going to be the mainstay of my stretching routine for years to come.

Might I suggest two things to combat inflammation? #1 coconut oil, a powerful anti inflammatory. #2 home made kefir milk - even more powerful than coconut oil. Most of all a well known diet for low inflammation is the ketogenic diet.

I had a lumber fusion back in 2001. Now my SI joint has got me. I have shooting pains down into my testicles, and my SI joint has had me down for 2 weeks at a time, yelling out in pain. My doctor gave me some physical therapy to do and it has helped, but not a lot. I'm back to the point of questioning whether i will be walking tomorrow. I'm going to try these right now. Thank you very much for taking time to make this video.

You guys are the best! I had some major SI issues not long ago, but I am steadily recovering and not backsliding despite increasing my activity (yay!). Some ppl might find it useful to know that their sleeping situation might cause/worsen SI joint pain. My pain went from being a small bother here and there (with some moderate flare-ups) to being a major issue after I changed mattresses. I used to sleep on a very firm mattress on the floor, and then I changed to a squishy mattress on a regular bed frame. Also, the mattress was older and seemed a bit sunken in the middle (so I was essentially crooked all night). I began sleeping on the floor (on a camping pad over hardwood flooring) this past summer, and I have felt better and better. No more mattresses for me!

I pulled my muscle connected to my ischium, on the left in 2001 and I've been compensating by sitting on my right leg for years. Incredible it took this long for it to finally give out. Avoid gluten in the food, You need to check your nutritional deficiencies and may be deficient in key nutrients including vitamins B12, C, and D, as well as folic acid and the essential mineral magnesium. The goal is to reduce inflammation and build the body’s natural defenses. Magnesium-Rich Foods: Include lots of green leafy vegetables, pumpkin seeds, yogurt or kefir, almonds, and avocados in your diet to increase magnesium levels. Aim for a minimum of 3 servings a day of these foods to help ease the pain and discomfort associated with fibromyalgia. Melatonin-Rich Foods: As sleep disorders are common among fibromyalgia symptoms, increasing the sleep hormone melatonin is recommended. Tart/Sour Cherries and Cherry Juice Walnuts Mustard Seed Rice Ginger Barley Asparagus Tomatoes Fresh Mint Bananas Eat CONUT OIL ,TURMERIC ,GINGER , wild Salomon SUPER FOOD FOR ANTI INFLAMMATORY

Most I see is passive approach of your problem. You want others or a medicine to solve it for you. Often, this does not work. You should grab the responsibilty yourself. Meditation is a good start but.. If you have not tried progressive strength training to get the area nice and strong, I highly recommend it. It has also been shown beneficial for RA and FM. All the best!

Whenever I increase my outdoor running, which I’ve been doing since the covid-19 outbreak, I inevitably end up with SI joint pain. I know it’s my SI joint because I’ve had the problem off and one since my first pregnancy 12 years ago. Anyway, these exercises gave me instant relief! Thank you!

Personal question for you Crystal. If you feel comfortable answering. Im 7 momths pregnant and I go to physical therapy for my SI joint pain caused by the pregnancy, and groin pain. Did you have a vaginal birth? And was labor pains more intense from the joint? My first child i had a c section and will be attemptiong a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) with this pregnancy. Im very nervous that the intense joint pain i have now will make things difficult when delivery time comes. My OB and physical therapist said i should be ok and pain will also go away after birth. And how often does your joint bother you still?
