I had a "friend" like this back in middle school, girl I had a massive crush on at first but that went away, then she made me the butt of every joke in our friend group. At the end of middle school, she broke down crying and apologizing for how awful she had been to me. I had a group of girls treat me like this in high school. I was going through a hard time in my life, so getting treated like shit at school was the icing on the cake. I was put into a group with them for drama class. I had to work with them for an hour and a half three times a week for a month. I just wanted to get work done and leave it at that. Instead, they would spend the entire class flaming me. They said a lot of heinous things, but one of the most hurtful was about my smile (how ugly and terrible it was). My character had to smile in the performance, but I was struggling because of everything going on in my life. Their comments made it even more difficult. One day they asked me why I couldn’t smile properly, and instead of just laughing it off and trying to move on like you see Dilly do in the video, and quietly said “maybe it’s because I’m sad.” They burst out laughing and repeated it for everyone in the room to hear. People like her do so much damage to nice men like Dilly. The sad thing is, she’ll only perpetually end up with piece of shit men who abuse her and take zero accountability for it.

It's not always about being held accountable, in this case it's probably more a case of having been enabled for extended periods of time and having been praised by simply existing. You can't always hold someone accountable for being treated as a princess. However it becomes an issue of accountability when we start talking about the people who enable her.
