i've unfortunately dated someone like this, and the reason for the anger (to my understanding) is these kind of guys hold the belief that "good women" are quiet, secluded, and antisocial (except for maybe a couple of 'wholesome' female friends), who go to book club or something. they immediately construe any other social activities, such as partying, posting online, etc., as "trashy" and "slutty," (especially if it wasn't in his presence or without his blessing), even though those are normal things that most young women do. these guys seem to think that a woman wanting any kind of social connection or attention from anyone besides him makes her impure somehow. rather than viewing his girlfriend as her own person with a life and history and desires, he only views her as a side character in his life who must be singularly committed to him in every way. any deviation from that, even if it was before they ever met, ruins that "perfect" Y/N book character image he has of her and he becomes disgusted. it's weird. it took me a long time to get away from the guy who treated me like this, and i'm glad she did too.

Actually I think psychopaths and narcissists do. Also, it's kind of sad if being insecure means nobody can love you. Basically implies that your insecurity is entirely warranted, because there's nothing secure about the attachment others have for you if they dislike that about you. Would be nice if there were people out there who could love insecure people and increase their confidence somehow, but it'd be difficult.
