you are CORRECT; I know a good message. and this message is AWESOME; you must completely LOVE a woman called your spouse; period. As Christ loved the church and GAVE HIMSELF up for HER (yes, she is first and I am second sometimes, definitely). I want you to ask yourself; can I have some fasting for 3 days (just water, juice or bread); or what can I give up to help my marriage. If you fulfill your wife, your world will change forever for the better (trust me) but it a good relationship takes time.

MEN (me included) already think we know it all; but if we have issues with our wife , we must watch these type videos. 25 years for our marriage. By the way, women are not told to love their husbands, they automatically give more love; I have found this true; they are always trying to clean, to cook to watch the children; us Men tend to not get this principle. We must love our wife as "Christ love the church! " . Yes, he died for the church wow. Do we die for her, at all anything close to that type of love.

As I continue to work on myself, I see myself in many of these tales. What is the issue when the issue isn't the issue? I am always open to the elevation of self. I don't know what I don't know but am always willing to grow. Nothing beats a failure but a try. I always laugh the loudest and the longest when I hear myself and my actions being described as comic relief. This truly made my night. Thank You!

Chris Hansen I don't think in today's highly pornographic and sexualized worldwide culture women can confidently say that they know that boys and men respect them. Even prior to this new generation girls and women grew up knowing that we are not respected because boys disrespected our personal space and society told us it's our fault. I had boys grab me in school without my permission. I was a little girl and I grew up in a conservative country in times when parents did not tell children about sex so I was innocent in those matters. I'm not the only female who has been sexually harassed by men. How can you say we know as women we are respected by men when we know men only act like they respect us as long as we are hot and sexually enticing? That's when they behave amazingly nice but minute we spurn those attentions we face male hostility and wrath. And those of us who are the good girls we do find husbands who want the good girl at home but still disrespect us by bringing their male lust for other women into our marriages and bedrooms? When we complain about them breaking God's command to not lust after other women we as women get labeled jealous and insecure and we are encouraged to act cool and accept their male need to check out other women. I don't think today's men respect God. If a man cannot even respect God how can he respect a woman?

@@BugsyBuggles You see , God is not fooled by females like you who hide the truth about FREE SEX propagated by "free" women all across the Western nations . How can men respect whores who take sex out of marriage and spread it around freeely as they like it ? You know what GOD did to such women in the OT ? He put them to DEATH. But God never put to death a man who had more than one woman in his life (polygamy). David was punished by the Lord for having sex with another man's wife. Not for having more than one wife . See the difference ? God made things this way : a lion with three female lions , a deer with two does. The reverse is unnatural . Unless you think that God is unfair to create things that way ...

The Lord will discipline him if you continue to love him; there are no excuses for violence; Read the story of Abigail and King David. David honored Abigail later. 1 Samuel 25, 10-25 ... Nabal answered David’s servants, “Who is this David? Who is this son of Jesse? Many servants are breaking away from their masters these days. 11 Why should I take my bread and water, and the meat I have slaughtered for my shearers, and give it to men coming from who knows where?” (help feed Davids men) 12 David’s men turned around and went back. When they arrived, they reported every word. 13 David said to his men, “Each of you strap on your sword!” So they did, and David strapped his on as well. About four hundred men went up with David, while two hundred stayed with the supplies. 14 One of the servants told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, “David sent messengers from the wilderness to give our master his greetings, but he hurled insults at them. 15 Yet these men were very good to us. They did not mistreat us, and the whole time we were out in the fields near them nothing was missing. 16 Night and day they were a wall around us the whole time we were herding our sheep near them. 17 Now think it over and see what you can do, because disaster is hanging over our master and his whole household. He is such a wicked man that no one can talk to him.” 18 Abigail acted quickly. She took two hundred loaves of bread, two skins of wine, five dressed sheep, five seahs[b] of roasted grain, a hundred cakes of raisins and two hundred cakes of pressed figs, and loaded them on donkeys. 19 Then she told her servants, “Go on ahead; I’ll follow you.” But she did not tell her husband Nabal. 20 As she came riding her donkey into a mountain ravine, there were David and his men descending toward her, and she met them. 21 David had just said, “It’s been useless-all my watching over this fellow’s property in the wilderness so that nothing of his was missing. He has paid me back evil for good. 22 May God deal with David,[c] be it ever so severely, if by morning I leave alive one male of all who belong to him!” 23 When Abigail saw David, she quickly got off her donkey and bowed down before David with her face to the ground. 24 She fell at his feet and said: “Pardon your servant, my lord, and let me speak to you; hear what your servant has to say. 25 Please pay no attention, my lord, to that wicked man Nabal. He is just like his name-his name means Fool, and folly goes with him. And as for me, your servant, I did not see the men my lord sent. . 26 And now, my lord, as surely as the Lord your God lives and as you live, since the Lord has kept you from bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hands, may your enemies and all who are intent on harming my lord be like Nabal. 27 And let this gift, which your servant has brought to my lord, be given to the men who follow you.

Women don't care about love. They USE love for their own interests most of the time. Putting love first is what has ruined countless Christian marriages because according to the BIBLE which is mocked today , no one gets married because of "love". NO ONE. The reason we get married is to AVOID FORNICATION. This has nothing to do with love at all.

This is spot on why my boyfriend, the love of my life, dumped me a few weeks back. Him and I were in this horrifying crazy cycle. I couldn't understand why he was getting so upset. And in return I was getting upset. He'd say, "the love is there there's no doubt about that". But you do not respect me. It went over my head. I thought that since I loved him, it was sufficient enough. No, after watching this i understand now totally that I was ill informed. I never was raised around boys. I only had one sister. And my mom never taught me this... I wasn't raised in the church. So yes, I was bound to struggle in any relationship. He told me he needed a break, time to think. I'm so scared I've lost him. Before lastnight and watching this video, I was texting him telling him "I love you". But of course it wasn't resonating and he'd ignore me or be short with me with his response. what do I do from here?? My only thing left to do is to back away and give him his space. It hurts so bad... but I know I must 'respect' his wishes. I sent him these videos lastnight. It's all I've got now. I pray that he comes back to me. We have something that most don't have. Any advice or reassurance is welcomed. I'm a mess. I love him with all of me. And am willing to learn how to respect him in the ways he needs.

I'd be really interested to know how Dr Emerson Emmerich's would counsel a couple where the husband was on the autistic spectrum and wasn't able to show his wife the kind of behaviour that she needed to feel loved. Should she continue to show respect to her husband regardless,, knowing that her need to feel loved is less likely to be fulfilled?
@HomOboe
@HomOboe 7 жыл бұрын
Dumfries Spearhead in his book "Love and Respect," he quotes: "there is no justification for a wife to reason that she only ought to respect her husband after he loves her." If Ephesians 5:33 and the story of Elijah and the widow (among others) tell us anything, it's that giving what is needed is not a reward for receiving what is desired. Giving what is needed is the Christian way of life, whatever the receiver can return. If one has made the decision to marry someone on the autistic spectrum, it does not excuse her from showing her husband the respect that God commands she show him. However, it also doesn't excuse him from loving his wife, even though certain aspects of that may be very difficult for him.

As I listened to this I thought of how so many tv shows and movies show the couples acting just the opposite. The husband acts like an immature self-centered dummy who is not only incapable but doesn't even want to be capable. And the women is a domineering witch. Then there are those movies show where the women are special agents who can hold their own with the male special agents...........but that is not so much about relationships as roles in life. But that could carry over into relationships, even though in real life very few of us are special agents/spys/etc.

But the LORD has been replaced by those silly books that NEVER teach the truth of marital duty anymore. SATAN is behind those teachings that have taken sex out of the equation of marriage. NO ONE needs to be married to "love better". But everyone who burns needs to in order not to FALL. But who cares today ?

We have the most abusive marriages. We get beat up and also know we won't get any support even if we leave and men outside are like hungry lions. If they know the women is single or divorced she struggles in the society and that's why we stay. Better in an abusive marriage than being prey to the hungry lions. We live for our children and the family and society. There is nothing called about "her". Our brains are trained from a young age that's how men will be and we as women should put up with it.

where does infidelity fall into all of this?
@BugsyBuggles
@BugsyBuggles 7 жыл бұрын
Brenda Yaneth exactly what I was thinking. Men from what I have observed don't respect their wives either. Cheating is very common amongst married men per stats. Of course they blame women for their own sin. I think problem is that men by their very sinful lust filled nature are naturally rebellious and don't respect Jesus otherwise they would automatically love their wives.

@@BugsyBuggles So strange that the BIBLE always focus on adulterous WIVES ! Try again my dear . There is no such thing in the Bible as a man "cheating on his wife" . This is no biblical language. And what if male sexuality is different than female sexuality ? Elkana had two wives , and God never said anything against him. A woman is naturally monogamous because she was made to follow ONE man ( one man = fatherhood ) but if a man has more than one wife , this does not endanger fatherhood at all. What matters biblically is the Father , the image of God on earth. Female sexual promiscuity is parricide , but polygamy is not. Can you deny it ? Where does the Bible put polygamy in the list of sexual sins ?

There is a deception going on not recognising the full truth of the matter, when the man was angry with his wife concerning his contact lenses, sin consumed him and in this it consumed her also, ( the glory of man is God and the glory of woman is man look at your woman's Glory and there is your glory man, right in front of your face) this is why you suffer these things because it is the sinful nature that dwells within, this man is speaking of the nature of the flesh of man and woman, the nature of the spirit of man and woman, this is the sinful nature, where is the nature of the Christ, where is the spirit of the Christ, all he is doing here is telling how we should behave with one another toward one another so that we can satisfy the flesh but this satisfaction is to satisfy the pride of man and woman, it is to Satisfy the sinful nature due to the nature of the flesh, so when a woman says to her man or rather thinks to herself my man does not love she is 100% correct, because at that point in time he actually does not love her because love is now left his heart and it is consumed by Pride, the sinful nature, to live in a relationship that he is speaking of has to do with repentance because of the sinful nature, for if one truly loves his wife he has nothing to repent from because there is no sin in love, it is the spiritual state, a spiritual position of the heart, and when one is full of fear anger, lust, Envy, jealousy, the list goes on, these emotional contents are the spiritual content of your heart, if the man got angry and never let it out in word or deed then this man does not sin because he sees the sinful nature of his heart and opposes it, if he does let it out, he must repent and seek forgiveness for his sinful heart, this man said, even though my wife divorced me and took everything I am right with God because I love her, however you will not right with God, because you did not love her, answer me this woman, what woman would divorce true love, you must also understand that these teachings of Paul even though they are of great Revelation there is a great mystery and depth to them, and these things were given to infants in Christ, meaning, man and woman should have matured spiritually far beyond these things, There are many an evangelist, preacher of the Christ, which I have seen in this world who are still mere babes, suckling on Mother's breast, and they call it maturity. Because they recognise not their true spiritual States of their own hearts, if we are to be transformed into the image of the Christ then the spirit of man and woman must be circumcised and replaced by the spirit of God, this is what circumcision is, it removes the sinful nature and the things pertaining to the flesh from your hearts, because the image of the Christ is found within you.

Loving others more than your self is probably the greatest example of Christs love I can think of. This study is doing the exact opposite of what your describing. If my wife disrespects me than yes my flesh flares up. But I deny my flesh and return love rather than spite or anger. Until Christ returns we will have this body of flesh. We are to continue to put to death the deeds of the flesh. My point. Everytime my flesh is flared by my wife, my nieghbor or my child I am to DENY MYSELF and surrender to Christ. This teaching is aiming towards that.

No matter how others act or react I am to put on Christ. Be angry and dont sin. So what this is teaching is that. No matter how my spouse acts or what she does, my job is to learn how to react like Christ.

So are you saying that at conversion the christian no longer sins?
@TempleofChristMinistries
@TempleofChristMinistries 4 жыл бұрын
@@marriagebuilding5401 there were two things that occur one is to be born of water the other is to be born of the spirit, to come to the Christ to believe is to be born of water, and these are the disciples in the gospels where the Christ is outside them not inside them, so in this, the are living in their own spirit, but the Christ is with them, therefore they are full of sin, nothing has been circumcised from the hearts, the other is to be born of light where the Christ then dwells within, now you have the spirit of the Christ in your heart, and it works it's way through whole body like yeast in dough, I see those Christ believers who think they are born of light when they are not, and they sin all day long, and those who are born of light where sin is removed from their heart, in another words, I can be consumed by the devil and all his demons but I will not Sin in word or deed because I see the truth, and the power of Christ is on me, my righteousness comes from Christ and Christ Alone, it does not come from my decision, it simply is the power of God to Salvation, as Paul says, tell me when did Paul sin, when he was Saul but not when he was Paul, if you are sinning all day long and you have to repent every night then I'm telling you the truth, there is something in error there, because one who is born of God very very very rarely sins if at all, we must also understand the nature of sin what it looks like, because I tell you the truth, if I were you and I was angry with my wife because of the contact lens situation, then when I had come to my senses and saw what I had done, I would have been in tears and asked her to forgive me for my filthy Loveless heart, because the pain would have been so great and I would never ever have done it again, this is the True Believer when they produce sin, they taste death and they see the evil come out of their mouth to all those they claim to love, this is how powerful it is, many people in this world have to murder before they even see that they have done anything wrong, but the true Christ believer does not, the moment it rises in their heart they are aware of its death. The whole idea of being born of God and transformed into the Christ is to become sinless, this is why there are so many Christians in this world where their hearts have not been circumcised, and they have remained whoever they are in their hearts from beginning to end, full of sin, thinking that they have accomplished righteousness when they have accomplish nothing at all.
