That was a very interesting episode. The way the legend of the monsters developed in an area with navigation made treacherous by fast currents in ancient times is fascinating. How people attempted to explain their world is very interesting. That Italian navigational book looked really cool.

Syracuse The home of Lucia! Today we celebrate Lucia (SWE) The saint who comes with light in the darkest of times. We visited Syracuse and Taormina a few years ago. Beautiful places but steep hills-we took the bus up to Castelmola. Thanks for sharing.

Another charming video. Mia, your narration is absolutely marvelous! Your words play like musical notes and your voice a beautiful violin. I don’t mean to wax poetic here, however you certainly are deserving. Oh, and happy holidays to both of you. Cheers.

Wow I’ve always wanted to go to Sicily. Btw there are loads of whirlpools when the tide is running here in Plymouth near the famous “Devil’s Point”.

I note that every now and then Maya plays violin, seemingly good at it. May I suggest that you play at it in one of episodes as the full background?

Love joining you on your sailing adventures.👍 One question... Could you please tell the story of the Magic Carpet logo? Obviously the Genie lamp from the Aladdin story cleverly combined with a sailboat. Who designed it and how did it come about?
@SailingMagicCarpet5 жыл бұрын
Hy Axelrad Glad you saw it It isn’t obvious to everybody. Also why the boat is my magic carpet. Aladino being aladdin in Italian..anyhuu The Logo came about as a Sketch made on paper wich then with help from a friend and Maya got digitalized. Maybe we will have an updated version soon but that always staying the core of it of course:) Thx for watching Aladino
