I’ve been to Kyoto twice and have enjoyed it each time. However, I think if I go back it’ll be a different type of trip. Local areas are more appealing to me and that goes for the rest of the “golden route”. It’s become a bit of a circus these days and there is so much more on offer outside of the main tourist attractions. Keep it up Rion and thanks

It is so interesting how Kyoto every time you visit it just crowded or even overcrowded has somehow a different vibe. Always, there is of course a traditional atmosphere especially even in back streets close to the riverside where you could find the almost empty restaurant to eat your expensive (typical for Kyoto) but also delicious lunch. As we could enjoy full blooming Sakura in your last Osaka video there is fun to see the slowly blooming ending of it. I think this was my first time to see the Yasaka shrine and it seems nice, too, but a bit different. Marayama park with less visible Sakura but also the white flower covered walkways due to the recent rain still fun to watch. Lovely Kyomizu Temple present in every of your Kyoto experiences still in various phases both as related to the season or crowdedness. I remember well when you were the single visitor!!!😂😂, but these times will never reoccure. The cycling tour to the Kyoto station seems to be more exciting than using probably overcrowded bus. Your hotel 50x less expensive than the Hyat one (what a memory) was really nice and you must have enjoyed your stay there after your McDonald's dinner, as well. Let's wait for the Kyoto adventute to be continued. GAOOO...

Arigatoo for another great video! That hotel was perfect for travel when you just need place to shower and sleep. Great for the price. I usually stay in the Daiwa Roynet chain but the Sakura Terrace was comparable plus balcony and free beer!

Hi Aya-San, how are you? Many people travel so far to visit Japan, and only visit Kyoto or Tokyo (both are beautiful cities). I watched a video series from a retired Japanese man who rode his 50cc motorcycle around the entire coast of Japan in ninety-one days--some 16,000 kilometers! He visited all kinds of places--areas with natural beauty, historical sites, museums. It was so interesting! Japan has so much natural beauty and history. If Aya-San makes a "local" visit to Kyoto, I hope the trip is enjoyable! 😊

Depending where your going to in Kawaramachi, I would have taken the Special Rapid to Kytoto and the Subway to Shijo. However I do like walking around Takatsuki.

It’s not a very touristy spot, but I hope you can explore Takatsuki more in the future! I’d love to know more about the place in a local’s view. I knew and had been to Takatsuki (for a few hours) because their tourism ambassador is Takatsuki Yayoi-chan from the Idolm@ster series ζ*'ヮ')ζ There’s a Yayoi liner bus going around. I missed it on my visit, but it’d be lucky to at least spot it. ww
