TIL you can hold rec+new to capture MIDI and you can add an instrument rack to a drum pad. This has taught me more than hours of other Push 2 tutorials.

aaa the black table the push is sitting on has hinges on the back. Looks like you could just close it up. I’m looking for something like this to fly with when on tour. The interface is the little rack thing to her left.

I love this performance but I would really like to know how it is recorded. When you perform in session view in real time like this you can’t use an audio track to route audio from master and becuase it just stops. Are you using an external device in order to record it?
@josephjimorris
@josephjimorris 2 ай бұрын
You can record your performance into the arrangement view while you’re playing. You could also have any other audio tracks recording at the same time if you had it set up for that.

I'm torn between Ableton, Studio One, and Logic Pro! Help! 😩
@aural_supremacy
@aural_supremacy 4 жыл бұрын
If you use that as a search query you should be able to find some information to help you decide I came across some vids and although I use iPad so everything is cheaper so I can in fact have several types of Daw for less than the price for one of the Daws you mentioned but the same principle applies you need to decide on how you want to use the software, EG type of music? Live or not and so on. So if you want to make this type of music based on loops and short clips and samples that you can download and arrange into patterns and especially play this sort of generative clip and loop based music live, making loops quickly and resampling while playing in short working like this video go Ableton live. If you are more interested in recording whole finished Songs with live instruments long build ups and being able to see all your tracks at once showing the wave form and leaning towards making more music as a recording musician as opposed to a DJ like technical producer then Logic Pro (don’t know the other one), on iPad I can use BeatMaker 3 which has a very Ableton like work flow, Cubasis to do the Logic Pro tasks and can even use Cubasis to host BeatMaker 3 as a plug-in. Now that’s not to say that Ableton can’t be used as a conventional Audio Daw it can be I think but it’s strength is Sampling looping and linking everything for live performance sync you could I’m sure record a conventional song with it but using Logic Pro as a live performance instrument would not have the same flow and sync as Ableton.

It's fun to watch, no arguments there, but it does leave me wondering why you'd bother to leave all of this stuff out of your initial liveset. And as a bit of a critic it also makes one wonder how the other material got set up. I think it would be more fun (and impressive) to see something getting build from scratch.

Mr-S music its hard to expect everyone to smile when focusing on music or filming a tutorial, everybody has its own way. Im sure its not her intention to bore you. Also, i feel like just because she is a girl, she should be all smiling & happy. While if this was a serious dude talking about his setup nobody would complain about it.
