Very informative video. For people leavibg Canada I would add the following: 1. If you own real estate, sell it before tou go. Otherwise you will be considered tax resident in Canada and are obligated ro pay tax on the income you will earn in your new country. 2. File a Leaving Canada tax return with the CRA. 3. Unless you are moving to the US, dispose of all appliances. Appliances run on different voltages accross the world. Phones should be fine but you may need a power converter to charge them. 4. Make multiple hard and soft copies of all important documents like Birth Certificates, Passports, etc. and carry with you.

The snow and our children are out of college now and on their own, so it is just going to be the 2 of us and my head is spinning from listening to the you guys. Because it's going to be a big move for us too.The only thing is we don't have little children. So god bless you on your move and good luck

Omg we have been doing this process for the last four months or so. We have sold, given away, and thrown away almost all of our big ticket items. The only things left to manage are the small stuff, like which books, clothes and toys we want to take. We are moving overseas from the USA in about a month inshaAllah. What's wild is we have been planning on doing it for a couple of years before the Gaza situation started, but once it began....our plans moved much faster. I have been following your story because ours is so similar!! Except we are in the USA to Colombia. I'd love to meet you guys one day if we get to visit Malaysia because i definitely want to visit Malaysia one day inshaAllah!

Moving households via sea is a great and cost effective option, ideally it would take 2-3 months to arrive at the destination. If selling and rebuying your households looks expensive/loss. You can explore moving households via sea option. We've used Universal relocations - to move from India to US. Their service was satisfactory

Tapped on this one so FAST !!! We're a family of 6 & looking to make an international move to Malaysia (EAST SIDE) from the UK!! We live in a VERY old large 8 bed Edwardian English home, and my husband is a massive hoarder - need I say more....😮 I too will not part ways with my Dyson, or my Vitamix 😊 Thankfully though our house is bought and paid for so no major need to fully empty it straight away, hubby said hes happy to return to the UK to sort out the "sorting" whilst I stay in Malaysia with the kids (this concerns me slightly 😂) whilst they are at school 🎒 I need to think of all the Ds! I need more hours in the day 😁

I would sell what I could and replace when you get there. I'm still merging two households(my mom passed away 2 years ago) and getting rid of stuff has been overwhelming. But since I would like to move and may be downsizing, it's forcing me to get rid of stuff. And my niece is getting married in September so I am giving her a lot of things that she can use. I got rid of many books that my mom had that I've also read last year. I still have many books that I have to read. Kids having a lemonade stand is just part of being a kid. I was going to use pods when I moved to another state. But since I have decided to stay in the state I currently live in I may do a u haul or two men and a truck(moving company in the US)

The family laws in Muslim countries are different from west, so make sure you study all this before a big move🎉
