Mate the exact same thing happened to me. I asked them “is there any reason why I wouldn’t be hired for this role?” The company told me they have 20 other interviews today and they might pick the one with the most sales experience instead of my. I then emailed and sent a LinkedIn message to my interviewer highlighting my 30-60-90 day plan if they hired me. They called me and asked for a second interview for the next day as the interviewer “might give you a second interview “. The next day they called me before my 2nd interview highlighting that it’s not actually an interview but more so a run through of what a day working is like so that I won’t be surprised “if they offer me the role” and a personality style quiz to see which department they would like to put me in. 🤣

Hi Patrick, thank you so much. I learned the interview tips from this video especially the last question to ask the interviewer, I asked are there any reasons that I wont be hired. Both CEO and Sales Director were very surprised about my question and laughed, even though they answered that my zero sales experience might be an obstacle, they both would love to see me soon. I got my offer within 1 week for Business Development role, and started learning all your fantastic videos since 2023. Appreciate your efforts and wich you a very successful year!

You got it party wrong. "Tell me about yourself" is ALWAYS about how you can show you're the best for the job, that incudes real examples of what you've done. It's good touch to differentiate by telling your values. That's the best question you can get and one that you can actually prepare in advance, as your elevator pitch.

That question is not about examples what you‘ve done. Also is an elevator pitch in that step really not liked to be seen. I can promise that this information is true and checked.

Great content Patrick, thank you. One of the most highlighted tips of the Google interview process from my mentor was never ask 'how did the interview go? Do you see me as a good fit?' type of questions. Since your 'is there any reasons for you not to hire me?' question sounds lot like it, could you elaborate further on this point? What do you think sets the difference between sounding too pushy/salesy versus closing the 'interview' deal right?
