I'm in no way a salesman or anything (I'm a software engineer) but I'm always interested in learning about psychology and the mindset of how the human mind makes decisions. That being said, when I make purchases, I buy almost solely based on logic/practicality rather than emotion. I can see the gaps from your sales pitch/statement which tend to counter argue. I have some questions(ex. the pool scenario) on how you would approach statistic based customers: -How are you certain the "cheaper" option won't get the customer what they want? -Why does the customer's happiness of the pool determine property value? Disregarding pool pricing. -How do you measure the pool's longevity and guarantee it will last longer because its not the "cheaper" option? The question "Did you guys feel the value of the pool I built?" No, I was only told a story along with the "value" I knew from the beginning, rather than overseeing statistical data on the actual value-cost of the product(pool). I already know that my family will enjoy the pool and will increase my property value. So where's the other "areas of value into that pool"? How much actual/estimate value is my property value subject to increase based on the current neighborhood market? What will be my savings rate (energy consumption, maintenance, etc) if I go with you rather than someone else? What's the percentage of historical customer satisfaction? Are historical customers able to confirm the pool will last as long as you claim it will? I wasn't "shown" you are the professional, because there was no supportive data to back that up, which would then lead to further questions regarding built quality, material sourcing, labor skillset, etc. which was briefly mentioned about the "cheaper" option, but I didn't get "shown" how you (or your business) tackles these items. I mean no disrespect, I'm simply analyzing and responding on how I'd personally respond/ask/think when deciding to make a purchase.

I have 25 years experience and I love your no nonsense approach. Training & repetition like at the gym is so important. I want to train with you and have you beat it into me. All love. Love your energy!!! LFG!!!!

I love these videos and I love the concepts they teach. How do you handle the customers that just try to shut this kind of conversation off or interrupt you while you're talking? Not saying it happens all the time, but it can and does. Where/when do you draw the line as the sales guy and say hey maybe we arent the best fit because you (the client) do want to stick to "cheap"?
@mosheglick2953 ай бұрын
it's not bad, I think it's decent sale technique, it's a classical example to show how to build up value for your product to the price looks reasonable. I think he was trying a little bit too hard which can also backfire in a real situation. That being said for the sake of example and teaching new salespeople it's for sure a pretty good technique. Well done from me
