This was awesome, easy and delicious and my daughter went back for seconds which she never does. So this is now a recipe that I will keep in my house. THANK YOU DUDE!!

I tried this yesterday because I needed something to do with my ground beef. Honestly this was delicious ; however I must warn way too salty and would advise anyone with high blood pressure to cut the seasoning salt in the beef. The onion mix is all it needs.

I had to watch this! As far back as when I was a kid, I used to get Salisbury Steak from Piccadilly, Luby's, Ryan's, and Black Eyed Pea! The Gravy, onions and Mushrooms, with some whole kernel corn, and mashed potatoes with the gravy! Add in Garlic Bread and squeeze a lemon over the plate... I'm in heaven! I'll try this next!

I know this vid is 5 years old, and you haven’t posted any recent ones...but I just want to thank you. Sixty-two years old and just learned how to make my husband favorite dish the best, I mean the very best way!!! I hope you are well, stay safe👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👩🏾🍳👩🏾🍳👩🏾🍳 After reading comments, I don’t blame you for not publishing videos anymore. The criticism may seem harsh, but idiots that don’t know how to adjust to their situation are just that...opinionated idiots. I didn’t use onion soup mix, but I didn’t need to say that, or tell you how I adjusted this recipe for my household. I just thanked you for a wonderful recipe.

When you add dried herbs you can get more flavour out of them in two ways. One is by pouring the herb into your palm and using your fingers to rub it and break it up while it falls into the pan. The second way is to add it while the onions and mushrooms are cooking. Fry the spices until they are fragrant and then add your liquid. I liked your video :)

To all those that are saying, it's too much salt, season to your liking. I'm from down south and we use a lot of salt in our food. Whenever I visit the Midwest, I don't enjoy their food because of the lack of salt. To each his own.. You will know when making this dish how much seasoning to use. I make this recipe all the time and it's not too salty for me.

Hi PhillyBoy, I've actually won a recipe award for my Salisbury steak and i pretty much do exactly what you do with the exception of I have a dish of 50/50 flour and breadcrumbs that once i've formed the steaks, i dip each side in the flour/bc mixture and then fry them. This way it eliminates you using corn starch because the flour will thicken the juices. Oh, yes, and it's a MUST to use Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. Try it. You'll love it. Just my tip of the day!

You are so right. A roux can be made for the gravy using flour, but you need to cook out the raw taste of the flour first to make it taste good. The cornstarch is a much easier way to do it. I have made salisbury steak a lot, and I usually make the gravy with red wine. But I really want to try yours because it seems like a no nonsense family pleasing delicious recipe. I really liked this video, thank you.
