Brilliant video, thanks Marcel. It's really useful to see reviews of major work like this after a couple of years. It's helped convince me to go for the sumo springs, so thanks a lot!

Marcel, something that you might have missed is that the extra leaf you added might be touching the frame in the front. You might get rust through there or who knows what else. Might be safe to put it in the middle size? I dont know I have seen this being talked in Matters on the map installing SuperSprings Oh, another thing. Last video you took meassurements of the height gain from floor to top of the plastic trim IIRC As always, thanks for the vid :) Greetings from Argentina

I've just watched it and replayed my video to see that the front of the spring might be lightly touching the chassis as here seems to be some paint missing. This is very interesting and might be the source of the squeaking. When I originally installed the springs, I had them in the middle bolt but it made the suspension way too stiff and uncomfortable to drive. I'll have to have a closer look at this under the van. Thanks

1st off, I want to say thank you for providing this great video! Your link is for SuperSprings SSA42 which has an additional load leveling capacity of 1,900 lb. They also have the SSA43 which has an additional load leveling capacity of 2,900. lb. Would you consider the SSA43 today? Of course I know everyone has different build weights. Do you know your build out weights?

When I contacted the SuperSrpings guys, they recommended me the SSA42, as although the SSA43 has higher load levelling, it's also a much stiffer spring. This isn't always desirable as a stiffer spring means a stiffer ride. There is a balancing act of finding a compromise between height regain and comfort, which is what the spring I installed has accomplished well in my opinion. My "curb weight" of the conversion was 3000kg

Is the rear brake lines running between the original and additional springs an issue? Do the brake lines get pinched or rubbed when driving?
@saltyvanventuresАй бұрын
They do but the brake lines are factory clamped in place so they don't interact with the spring.
