Sell the van whole, because what you need to be looking for, for the recovery truck, is a 4.5t or 5.5t chassis cab. Please dont try and do another 3.5t recovery truck that you cant get more than a fiesta on! I keep seeing you loading vehicles, and im seeing lots and lots of vans being pulled and over weight when carrying small cars. Im worried for you, and this seems to be a great opportunity to reduce that risk.

Good repair, excellent diagnostic. You guys certainly have your finger on the pulse. Good video. I am not sure if you want to convert the van to a break down recovery for your fleet, if so would a double rear axle be more suitable . If you want to travel into London the van will be ULEZ compliant. The van on its own with the electric tailgate and almost new body would give you a heathy profit for the time spent. All this in one video. Brilliant.

Sell it on, keep using the recovery companies to collect vehicles, especially as so many now require a 7.5 ton wagon and spend your time repairing them which is where the most profit is, stop thinking that saving a few quid on collection is saving you money when its costing you time. Work smarter not longer and harder.

Brilliant buy. Yes you took a risk but it was worth it. Looks a great van. You need to find out what its worth. Then price up a similar flatbed truck to carry a car and see the cost of that. Wonder if you should sell in the open market as is not as a vehicle where you offer it to viewers of your channel. A good profit because it is such a clean vehicle with a Tail lift. Great work with the help of Reclamet yet again.

On our work transits there's a yellow switch behind the glove box. It turns the van off if u hit a bump too quick as it thinks it's had a crash. Caught a few people out at work. It's not the issue here but just incase u have a issue in the future, thought they are the shape before this one

I would get in touch with companies that do the van conversions. You might be able to trade in that box for a recovery bed. Plenty of these get smashed under height restriction bars and I bet these are very sought after. Change the wet belts, do regular oil changes and will be a cracking recovery truck for you.

The wonderful and mysterious world of the CANbus system !. The low voltage when cranking it, probably skewed the feedback from the crank sensor, difficult to know. But I suppose sudden loss of oil pressure to the burst oil filter may have spooked the crash routine in the software. A nice afternoon’s repair ! And a highly useful vehicle.

Been watching for a while around the time when Chris was very camera shy. The number of times its not turned over because of battery issue. Please just buy a large crank capacity AGM battery and leave on trickle charge for use for jumping these vehicles would save so much time and starter.

Can't believe the small amount of damage on that and they've written it off. Country has gone mad. Assessor probably had a quick look underneath, seeing the oil filter bent and thought it's gone through the sump...😮 I reckon a small bin tipper arm or waste bin truck of some kind. Easy win there boys and how good of reclamet. Proper business relationship you have with them🤟 Got to be worth selling as is, surely?

great result guys but i would think the transit is a bit on the heavy side for a recovery truck, modern cars are very heavy and i'm guessing a transit lwb chassis cab tips the scale at about 2t then add a body you would be lucky to carry a ton! sell it as a luton
