For the entirety of my adult life, the Republicans Party has basically been mediocre at best, and #### show at worst. They are filled with copious amounts of unserious individuals who rely mainly on culture war nonsense to frighten and rile folks up for any electoral advantage that they may enjoy. It's hard for the average American to get behind more tax cuts for the already unfathomably wealthy, so instead they claim that folk's problems are actually caused by brown illegal immigrants, black urban criminals, gay and transgender people, CRT, DEI, books, flags, pronouns and a myriad of other made up, horse hockey conspiracy theories. And they have only gotten worse since tRump completely took over the party. They are now a cult of personality, and tRump is their orange God-King. Any candidate that wishes to enjoy success within the MAGA party must completely prostrate themselves before tRump the "Chosen One." I find traditional Repubs like Liz, Adam and Mitt, whose support for the most odious Repub policies that do maximum harm to ordinary Americans, to be off putting. But I also admire them because they refuse to bend the knee to His Majesty, Orange Foolius, and for their full-throated support and respect for the rule of law and Democracy. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the MAGA movement.
