Never heard this song before, but she's got a beautiful voice, that's a 10 in my book.

Great song. Don't recall hearing this before, or if I have it's been quite some time. Tons of emotions in that hurting voice.

Hey Don, When I requested this song, I wasn’t sure if the lyrics would challenge you enough, but I was sure that you would like her performance of this song. To me, her voice is soothing, soft, and easy on my ears. She also has an underlying breathiness in her voice. One of my top five female singers of all time. Listening to this song, she MADE YOU FEEL HER PAIN. I will always recognize that you are wearing your Montauk hat. Be well my friend.

Thanks @montauked17 for this selection. You are slipping back into depressing songs again. I got to send you my happy playlist 😃😃😃😃The song was written by Sammi and released by her in 1976 on the album 'As Long As There's A Sunday'. I hear a little Barbara Mandrell in her voice. Thanks for your reaction

Hello my friend Jeff, I may stray at times, but I always return to my true self. This saying comes to mind: A Zebra can’t change it’s stripes. So true. Wow! I didn’t know she wrote this song. You are the channel’s unofficial/official historian. Thank you for almost invariably providing additional information about a song, the performer, and the song writer. Be well.

Thank you so much Montauk Ed for this simply excellent request. It is outstanding in every dimension. You introduced me to Sammi and I'm really loving her work, and this one really hit me. As you said in your note - the listener actually feels her pain. Sorry Don, this one is a big 10 for me, but thanks for the great reaction even though you were a little short on the rating.

Hey Terry, I totally agree with everything you said. I pretty much love every one of her performances, but this may be her best one of all. Be well my friend.
