About the competition - most don't have a headphone jack. A lot of people will choose this phone for that...and OIS and IP rating. I'm still using LG V60 as audio is very important for me... But this might be my next choice 😏

Have been using this galaxy A52s 5g 8gb varient since 2 months. This is a good phone but One UI is too heavy due to which it stutters atleast twice a day. I am a mid heavy user. The main drawback of this phone is not hardware but software itself. You can see the lag many times when trying to play 1080p + videos on KZbin in full screen then switching to different application and then back to KZbin. That's one of the few common cases where this phone gets hickups. I still believe OneUI is responsible for this. I did all debloat and disabling ones that were not removable. Camera is good. Plays games well but sometimes there is occational lag. Tested on Shadow Fight 3 and asphalt 9

Youre right about one ui but imo samsung does that on purpose to keep the s line feel more premium. Its not just samsung but every other phone company as well. You get what you pay for. Back in the days i was using galaxy s3 with custom rom and it was working perfectly. No lags or anything on ages old phone...

I've actually sold the phone. It was on one ui 3 when I had it. I've heard complaints regarding some lags and stutters in a52/a52s after one ui 4 update. But, I'm confident that these issues will be solved in 1-2 updates as Samsung has a pretty good track record related to the software experience in recent times.

If you spend a little more, you can get s20fe 5g which has much superior cameras (best in class). But after s20 fe, this phone is the second best for cameras closely followed by Vivo v series phones and iqoo phones.

Yes, it's a good overall phone. But s20fe 5g keeps getting discounted to 33k frequently and that is a much superior phone. So, if you can get a hold of it, I'd recommend the s20fe 5g over this phone.

You called this video "Long Term Review ". That should mean a review of what it's like to actually own the and use the phone over a long period of time. But that was not even mentioned in the video. We can all look up stats and features. What many of us want to know is what it's like to actually use the phone over several months, or more. Does it meet expectations? What's good or bad about the experience, _long term_ ? In that sense, this video is not what title implies.

Ok so I get your point. But for me, If I review the phone after a minimum of 3 months of use, it qualifies as long term review. And I don't specifically focus on the experience of using it. But I try to cover all my observations throughout that period. If there is any change in experience between when I bought it and when I reviewed it, it would be mentioned in the video. For example, when the phone launched, it didn't have EIS for video recording. But by the time I reviewed it, it started supporting it. Also, calling this video just a spec list is a bit too harsh. A spec list doesn't tell you how the speakers sound or doesn't give you camera samples of battery life stats and so on. With this video, I've tried to cover every aspect in as much detail as possible and to the best of my abilities. Still, it's completely fine if you didn't like it. In sorry for that. The aim was to provide as much detail as possible so that the viewer can take an informed decision.

You covered all the features, rated the audio and screen, showed the camera resutls with examples, discussed chipset and gaming etc. All good. What I meant, is that it's what you would expect from a normal, thorough review. You covered all the bases and did a good review. I was just a little frustrated whth the lack of long term assesment of the phone, overall. I kept waiting for that part to come, thinking you'd get to it in the end, and it never happened. I'm thinking of buying one now, as it's one of the few phones left that still has a 3.5mm jack. I know it's a bit older, but it still seems to be a nice phone, without too many shortcomings. What I realy need to know before i spend my money is what it's like to use, over the long term, as a daily driver. Does the battery last well? Does the phone get hot in your pocket? Does it become sluggish after you've installed all the apps you actually wan to use for your daily phone? Does anything deteriorate over time? Does the build quality hold up? Does it have any annoying issues you would only notice after owning it for some time? The kind a things I could ask a friend who had owned the phone for a year, and was using it every day. How do they _feel_ about the phone after living with it for that long? Do they still like it? Would they still recommend it? _That_ is what I was hoping for, from a long term review. And _that_ is what I would still like to know, before making my decision. I do not have a contract. I buy my phone outright, and I keep it for years. So this is a big decision for me. I've been using an LG G4 since 2015. It's a great phone, and still in excellent physical condition. But it heats up and drains battery every time I walk anywhere, and it's been like that for years. It's extremely annoying having a heater in my pocket evry time i go out. And stressing over the battery dying before I get back is not pleasant. But the battery lasts 2 or 3 days if I just stay at home. That never came up in any review I saw. You only get to find out issues ike that over time. Hence my frustration. I want to buy a phone I can be happy with, for years to come.

@Richard Linder Wow... that's a lot of questions. I'll try to answer as many as I can as I don't currently have that phone. But I liked it quite a bit so I gave it to my cousin who still uses it without any problem. Coming to your questions, in my 3-4 months of use, I saw no signs of battery life deterioration. It's not an endurance champ but will give you a solid day's worth of battery life. Usually, Samsung phones last 900 charge cycles without much noticeable battery life reduction. So, that's about 2.5-3 years. This phone has snapdragon 778G which is a very efficient chip. So, you don't need to worry about heating. Even when put under continuous stress, it didn't get too hot. So, in idle, it'll remain cool. About being sluggish after installing apps, again not an issue. I had over 100 apps installed and it didn't miss a beat. It's slightly slower than some phones in its price range as it is using UFS 2.x speeds instead of ufs 3.x. So, app opening takes slightly more time compared to modern flagships. But compared to the G4, this phone will feel extremely fast. About its physical condition holding up over time, it has a plastic build so if you use it without a case, it will get scratched over time but with a case, it won't be an issue. The front glass is gorilla glass 5 which is more drop resistant than scratch resistant. Again, this is something a glass screen protector can easily fix. I've not used one ui 5 for this phone but based on my experience of using it on my s22 ultra, the UI has become a lot more polished and smooth. Overall, I didn't notice anything strange or deal breaker like in this phone after using it extensively and I've not heard any complaints from my cousin as well. So, this phone is definitely a well balanced phone with no major dealbreakers. The only main issue, atleast here in India, is that it's priced extremely close to S20Fe which is a much superior phone overall. But as you need a phone with 3.5mm jack, that won't cut it for you.

@@RONTEK Thank you for your detailed reply. Sounds good. The only real dowsidei can think of is the sound. The LG G4 has really rich, full sound for a smartphone. This one and many Samsung phones sound a bit tinny. I even like the slightly less powerful chipset, as it likely means less heat. I learned the hard way with my first smartphone, always have a cover and a screen protector, or it just gets scratched or worse. That's why my G4 still looks and feels new after 7 years. For me, plastic is a plus, not a negative. Dropping a plastic phone is not a tragedy. Dropping a 'premium' glass and metal bodied phone even once can be like having a car accident!

Ok first of all, thanks 🙂 Coming to Asphalt 9, it was running at 30fps for me as well initially until I installed the game plugins app from the galaxy store. It is an app made by Samsung to let you tweak the gaming performance. Once installed, open it and install the game booster plus and perf z modules. Then go to the game booster plus module and select Asphalt 9. From there you can select performance presets. Select Max fps preset. This enables 60fps for Asphalt 9. It can't maintain 60fps all the time but hovers around the 45-60fps range which still feels much smoother than 30fps. Using the perf z module, you can monitor the fps and system info in real time with a fps meter.

If you're getting the note 10+ for similar price and 120hz display is not a must have, you should definitely get the note 10+ It has way better display, design, sound, cameras, performance and so many extra features like Dex mode, S-pen stuff, Samsung pay etc It is my current daily driver and I've used it for 2.5 years and I love it. It'll soon be replaced by the s22 ultra for me but the note 10+ has been a great companion for me.

Those sellers are not good. All those retailers who are selling for that price have a poor rating. So don't buy it on flipkart, buy from offline stores and you might get it for around rs 30000.

Are you asking about the lack of stabilization at launch...or availability of stabilization now. Initial reviews all complain about no stabilization (OIS or EIS) in 4k video recording. However, you can clearly see my 4k sample being very stable. That's because it was added later. Stabilization is still missing for 4k selfie video recording.

Nice video, but the phone... The phone is the greatest piece of garbage I've ever had. Starting by Samsung sofware totally useless. The cellphone despite I don't install unnecessary software, freezes sometimes, the battery drains too fast and it is impossible to delete annoying Samsung apps. But one of the worst things is the really low quality of fingerprint sensor. It is just too inconsistent when reading and unlocking the phone. I am totally dissapointed of Samsung and this model. Don't buy it!
