Micro SD means all media can be separated from the system, which is invaluable if you need to reset the device or move to a new one, it's not just about increasing storage capacity. Also the Note has integrated housing for the S Pen which is a massive advantage.

You can still use a micro SD card if you get an external reader and connect via USB. Also cloud storage is a viable option. I agree a lack of SD card support is a huge bummer and has always been something i appreciated on my phones, but I'd say it's not the end of the world. And yeah the built in pen housing on the note is tops

Great comparison! I'm keeping my Note 20 Ultra. I love the form factor. I just prefer the design and the larger screen. The camera does not seem that different to me between the two, except for the bigger zoom and macro ability of the wide angle lens. It's just a beautiful phone and I won't be upgrading for a few years unless something really revolutionary comes out.

One thing no reviewers mention is the fact that the S21 series do not support MST. (magnetic secure transmission) that means Samsung Pay will only work with NFC, and not with the older traditional payment card systems. It doesnt bother me cos I never use these type of payment systems, but it could be a real issue for some people.

7:40 is interesting. The S21 ultra camera looks very sandy. In general, I liked the innovations of the S21 camera, especially the UI. There is almost nothing I don't like except contrast. Fr that camera is a disgrace. Note20Ultra's is so refined and polished yet keeps a natural appearance. This and the lack of SD card expansion has really pushed me to debating getting the Note instead... i just really want that 888 chip though. Not sure what to do

@@eros2144 i didn't see any problems with that camera. And even if there was, the phone is still running on pre software while the Note 20 ultra has been out for months is stable. If you have any other phone apart from these two phones and you want to upgrade, the better choice the s21 ultra unless you want the spen then I would wait for the note 21 ultra. The s21 ultra is just better, better battery, better cameras ( once it's stable), better chipset, 120Hz at 1440p. Its just better.

So far battery comparisons are more or less the same despite the S21Ultra having a larger cell... but ive seen a lot of camera comparisons and S21Ultra's rendering of people just looks really bad. And like classic samsung bad. Elongated heads 😔. Note20 finally broke that trend and got on par with iPhones and i was hoping S21Ultra would follow suit with that. Again that, and no SD expansion anymore is kinda pushing me towards Note

Note 20 ultra is still better you guys are just blind regardless of that photo you took of the window. The s21 ultra camera isn't even all that better than the note 20 ultra, another thing the selfie camera was lagging on the s21 ultra when you were holding it ,and the note 20 ultra stayed very stabled. The note 20 ultra can use a sd card, in my note 20 ultra I have 1.1TB of storage. If you buy the s21 ultra it would definitely have to be the 512 GB version. The screen doesn't make that big of a difference with the qwhd, and I used both phones before side by side just never made a video on them.

The problem with portrait mode it is used in the main camera and cropping into the sensor, and it should be using the three times zoom, which will look a lot more natural... Personally I use a note 10 still, And still prefer the Squarer corners of the screen, it looks miles better and far more professional looking, There is nol way it replaces the note phones, with the s pen built-in, with a proper Bluetooth pen...

I still like the look and feel of the box corners and curved edges. Besides you have to get 256 gb version of the S21 U since there is no microSD slot and buy the SPen separately. 256gb + SPen and you’re looking at spending at least $1200.

Great comparison 👏 I JUST TRADED MY NOTE10+ FOR THE NOTE20 ULTRA. MY WIFE HAS THE S21 ULTRA, ITS A GREAT PHONE BUT I LOVE THE NOTE FOR BEING THE NOTE. NO MATTER HOW YOU DRESS THE S21 ULTRA UP IT'S STILL NOT A NOTE. NO S PEN STORAGE IN THE PHONE. NO MEMORY CARD SLOT. IF THEY STOP MAKING THE NOTE SERIES AND PUT AN S PEN SLOT IN A S SERIES PHONE, THEN MAYBE I WOULD SWITCH, BUT THATS A BIG IF.

You bring up very good points in favor of the S21U over the Note. I got my N20U in November for $600 w/my trade in. I guess I just prefer the squared off edges of the Note line. However I do like the matte glass back and new camera module design. Absolutely a worthwhile upgrade if you prefer the S line.

I think you MUST have swapped some scores around, because from all other reviews I've seen, the Exynos has a better CPU (same CPU cores as SD888 but higher clocked) and the Snapdragon has a better GPU, but your scores seem to say otherwise? Unless lower is better?
