You seem quite knowledgeable, the way smart tvs are built is it possible to be used as a giant camera?
@romantoronto2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean by giant camera but there are some smart tv’s with front cameras build in for use with social media, games and other communication apps

@@romantoronto ... Haha, I remember the days when conspirators also said the same thing about CRT televisions being able to be used as cameras, spying on you as you watch tv output from a tv station, while at the same time its vacuum tube & its circuitry is able to capture the image of your family room.

My uncle-in-law had a problem with his plasma over 15 years ago, the screen became pink-colored random noise iirc, something like what you might see on an analog tv without a signal (white noise). He got a technician to look at it & said it was the plasma screen itself so it would be at least a thousand dollars usd just to replace the screen part. So, it was not worth it so my in-law just bought an lcd flatscreen, which was a more stable design than plasm. And Plasma tv's were going out of style by then, as they were also heavier, bulkier & limited to their own plasma technology than lcd/led. But I think he enjoyed that plasma for a few years.

Plasmas are also get much hotter and use lots more electricity then LCD/LED. And yes, they are extremely heavy! Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment! 👍🌟✅

@@romantoronto ... You're welcome. Ah yeah, that's right, they got "really warm". I had told him to use a small quiet fan on the shelf behind the plasma, blowing air up vertically, not directly at tv, but I think he did not use it. That could have helped prolong its life, who knows. Heat is always a culprit in microelectronics.

My TV doest not show pictures but if you put in the plag the red dot is on to show that is work problem picture and sound
@romantoronto2 жыл бұрын
Looks like a main board or logic control board issue as the power supply board is working since you have a red light. Do you hear a clicking sound when you plug it in/turn it on with remote? If the clicking sound is there, the logic control board is alive and you may need a main board replacement(the one with hdmi and AV inputs). Good luck! 👍

@@GS-ef6qe Hi there, what is the question please? Do you have a sound but no picture? May be a blown fuse. There is a repair kit for sale on Ebay for this model of the tv board. Otherwise just wait for a replacement board to show up for sale on Ebay or buy a used tv with the same board model but with different issue and switch the board. Check Kijiji or local thrift store for a cheap TV for parts. Good luck!

@@romantoronto Hi, thanks for replying. There’s no sound nor picture. The fuse has blown and so have some of the mosfets. I don’t want to replace the defective parts mainly because I don’t know if anything else has gone short circuit. My knowledge is limited on this subject. I have been searching for another working board but not found anything yet. You are the only one to respond out of 6. Thank you.

@@GS-ef6qe Hopefully you can find a used TV with the same board to experiment. Look for a broken screen compatible model TV with the same board on Facebook or other marketplaces. Google the TV model for the list of boards it’s equipped with. Other options are way more expensive and not practical. Good luck and have a great day!
