Would you consider this a excellent value now that the QN800A is selling for $1999.99 while supplies last?
@RobertHopkinsArt9 ай бұрын
When comparing 8K versus 4K in your testing, it's essential to consider the advantage 8K offers over 4K, especially concerning the viewer's distance from the TV screen. As a gamer immersed in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024, where I sit just 24 inches away from my 65-inch TV, this distinction becomes crucial. Despite the close proximity, rest assured that my optometrist has approved this setup, providing me with prescription glasses specifically for gaming. The proximity to the screen grants us a significant field of view, enhancing the experience considerably. Currently utilizing a 4K LG C2 65-inch TV, I'm contemplating switching to an 8K TV for the higher pixels per inch (PPI). This upgrade promises clearer text when reading cockpit gauges (PFD/MFD), thus enhancing realism. For me, the focus lies on the training aspect of flying commercial airliners rather than gaming per se, making the increased PPI a worthwhile investment. Moreover, since Microsoft Flight Simulator's cockpit experience doesn't significantly benefit from higher refresh rates like 120 Hz, I'm content with 8K at 60 Hz. PPI for the win!

Hi. Thanks for review. How does qn800 compare to qn95/qn90? Qn95 has oneconnect, but don’t know about the quality of picture with qn800? Contrast and etc….

Online reviews show the qn9 series performing better due to higher contrast

I got the QN800a, and returned it pretty much the day after.. Local dimming was terrible.. Got the QN95A.. Wow.. Just wow! QN95A definitely outperforms the QN800 easily. Blacks on the QN95A are like OLED
@vladimirvidovic74432 жыл бұрын
i confirm....Qn95A is an excellent choice :) ....HDR is bright and vivid. Blacks are deep .,.... if I had more money, I would buy QN900 ...im live this TV kicks asss

Almost no bezel but an extra thick black edge around the screen so the screen doesn’t go right up to the edges.My older 4 K Samsung had a chrome bezel with a thinner black line around the edges.It looked more infinity than my 85 inch 8K

That's too bad, I wish it was a thinner black edge or maybe no edge at all.

Hi. Thanks for the review. I just ordered this - and only grievance is the one connect box. I want to mount this to the TV and then to the wall. Any suggesion as to what mounting options would accomodate this? Thanks.

You can hang the connect box on the tv it has a place for it

Both 800A and 90A are priced at $2000 right now. Which is the better TV based on features and not simply 8k resolution? What features does the 800 have that the 90 does not? It’s really hard to find a side by side list of the features for some reason.
@abtelectronics2 жыл бұрын
@DaveTheStalker The 800A has an anti-reflection coating, 70 watt sound system vs 60 watt, 4 screen multiview instead of 2 screen, 800A comes with the One Connect box vs 90A connections are on the TV, 800A has 3 USB inputs vs 2 on the 90A, and the 800A uses WiFi 6 vs WiFi 5 on the 90A. Being the same price, the 800A is the better value. Thanks for watching!

Are there any 8K movie contents out there?
@abtelectronics3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jor-El. There isn't much at the present time. You can find some 8K content on KZbin as well as Vimeo currently, and depending on where you live you may even be able to get some 8K content (mostly sports) from an over-the-air antenna, but movies are still a little ways off from being available. Thanks for watching!

How does the contrast compare with q70a? I know this has local dimming And is full array backled. But I'm afraid of the low contrast of the qn800a
@abtelectronics3 жыл бұрын
@Mohamed Shawqi. The contrast ratio on the QN800A series is very good, and with the addition of local dimming and mini LEDs lighting the picture, it provides a fantastic picture. Can this TV play two different HDMI inputs using multi-view?
@abtelectronics3 жыл бұрын
@John. The short answer is, no. The longer answer is, these can only play back one of each type of source at the same time for the multi-view feature. So if you were going to be watching four sources, for example, on the QN800, it would need to consist of one of each of the following: an HDMI, a Streaming App, an Antenna channel, and a mirrored mobile device. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@John-tg9qv3 жыл бұрын
@@abtelectronics Thanks for the response! I was told by a Samsung Rep that the 8K TVs could play multi view with multiple HDMI sources, whereas the 4K TVs are limited to a single HDMI source for multi view. I am definitely getting conflicting information and trying to get 100% certainty before I commit to buying as my primary use for Multi View would be to use multiple HDMI inputs.

i bought this tv and can someone just tell me where the power button is???
@abtelectronics Жыл бұрын
@machomadness4522 The power button on the TV is underneath the Samsung logo on the monitor. It's very small so it can be easy to miss if you're not looking closely. There is a little power icon stamped on it. If you use a flashlight it might make it easier to see if you're still having trouble.

Hello, I am from India.have a Q7FN 75 inch samsung 4k uhd tv bought 3 years back thanks to your advice. Now was planning to upgrade maybe to 8k. Since no 8k content is their my main criteria is 1. How much upgradation of 4k content and 1080p and 720p content can a 8k tv do through AI. 2. I watch lots of sports especially cricket and tennis , and most of it is available on 1080p through dish. So will the 1080p picture be upgraded by AI on QN800 A 75 inch and if yes will it be better than what we watch 1080p on 4k ultra HD 4k tv. 3. Besides samsung another company 8k tv you recommend , with price range same as QN800 A. One more thing in india QN 900A has not released in 75 inch only 85 inch otherwise it would have been my choice . 4.Is the 4k resolution on QN800 A or other 8k tvs from other companies better means , much better than other 4k tvs also my Q7FN included. Because of its 1 connect box samsung 8k or 4k tvs are better to install. Last thing or should I wait till next year. Thanks for the great info you people give.

don’t get 8K it’s a scam, there banding in the screen is horrendous and HD content looks more blurry on 8K then 4K because pixel density is so thick

@@Codeman113 thanks for replying. Can you please let me no if sony z9j is good. Ite bright they say . Also then what other u recommend qn90a , or oled c1 83 inches. Since u said qn900a as all 8k have low brightness. Becz these only choices above 80 in india. I watch lots of sports .
@Codeman1133 жыл бұрын
@@shawnnkalon2965 qn900a isn’t low as in oleds brightness just performed lower then 4K models, with its brightness you shouldn’t have any problems

@@Codeman113 Thanks for replying. So which 4k should I buy ? Above 80 inches 1. Qn90a 2. Z9j ( it's not actual 8k but converts 4k into 8k .) 3. Which oled. Lg c1 83inches . Qn900a is 8k, but if I am wrong please correct me as u Expert, it's everything is superior to qn90a In terms of processor then how does it perform poorly than it.?
@Codeman1133 жыл бұрын
@@shawnnkalon2965 if you have dark room i’d say go with LG C1 for 80inchs or more, as the samung tvs are gonna have really bad gray lines on it from banding, and i would say stay with 4K, 8K is fine but it’s a investment 10 years from now type of thing LOL and they will be much cheaper by then

I've had 8 Samsung TV's of various types including my last 4K Q7F and had a 1080 p 900 series 3D both 75 Inch. I recently purchased this QN800 8K in 85 inch.I can only say that I don't know yet if I have A bad one but it is The Worst TV I've ever had. The panel itself is slightly bent. The one connect box input for I0 Optical cable will not lock on the lead and keeps coming loose. Not that bothered about that as I'm changing to EARC HDMI.The picture quality on a lot of media looks like Standard Definitely. You can't tell much different between SD and HD.4K HDR is absolutely dreadful the dark scenes are to black and the bright scenes are blindingly bright. The overall picture looks blurry and really not sharp.Brights scenes are washed out.Really poor overall picture quality.Don't tell me to change settings as I knew all about the complete menu on this TV before purchasing and have spent hours and hours with Samsung menu’s.I really have tried every combination. trying to achieve a good picture. I do a lot of pro editing and have had cinema rooms and AV equipment for decades so I can say I haven't missed anything. I purchased new HDMI 2.1 cables and the tv is connected to the Internet via a cat 8 cable with a very strong signal.l cannot believe that this TV could be so bad.My last 4K set is in my storerooms and I think it's coming back.I'm going to the store to try and change this TV for something else.Over €5400 Euros waisted. Plus the fitting and a new wall bracket and disruption.Don’t be fooled by this 8Kas I was , I would now be happy if the picture was as good quality as my 4K TV There’s something wrong with the upscaling.There is no 8K real content other than KZbin videos.
