The best Captain (and boyfriend) ever! He is so dedicated and works so hard to make sure everyone gets the chance to catch something and have a good time doing it. He taught me how to fish and after my first bluefin I was hooked!

Hey Serina! So great to hear from you. Steve is a legend of a Captain in my book and I am so grateful to be able to fish on Mustang with him as Captain.

Best? This is their vacation; I hate it when a captain turns the fish briefing into a frustrated scolding.
@andrewvillanueva42223 жыл бұрын
The Captain is exactly correct. I have fished on 2 ten day trips for big yellowfin. Don't throw anything in the water under 80 fluorocarbon and 100 to 120 pound spectra. Fish a shimano talica 16 or 20 or 25 avet Hx raptor, avet 30 2 speed avet 50 San Diego special. Loaded with 100 spectra and 60-80 pound fluorocarbon. Make sure you have good knots and good connections.

I like this Captain, we need more like him-he tells you what the only stuff you need and no guessing making it very simple. 100-200lb fish leave the spinners and bass(casting reels/rods homes for the guppies) does this captain have his own teaching website?

Do yourself a favor when you get to the landing rent these rod and reel combos from the landing and have them rig them with what's working at the moment Thay know what's up that big gear is very expensive much like a motor home for as much as you're going to use it you're better off renting it untill you're moor experienced trust me 🤑

Great action of some really nice big fish, Mikey. Watching the video at the 50:11 mark I was reminded of what a pain my Mac Book Pro is when editing a video after importing the video files from the day, It starts to do the freeze frame video while the audio continues and you have no idea were to split or cut out frames. Those light load trips are great, full boat not so much.
